We founded the Elbstiftung almost 20 years ago with the aim of giving young people in Hamburg access to good education and training, promoting their potential and awakening their commitment. Educationally disadvantaged young people, many with a migration background, come to the foundation for a year at a time to work together on media projects in the fields of film, radio, and theater. They experience the challenges involved and the joy and pride when they succeed.✨ Yesterday it was time again: the young people showed what they had worked on at the Altonaer Theater. An outstanding show with a lot of passion and professional performances impressed and moved the audience. 🎭 We are very proud to have supported this project for so long and look forward to next year! ✨ Thank you to the team for their great work! Together with the team of MPC Container Ships ASA, we celebrated the name-giving of MACKENZIE & COLORADO at the Korean shipyard HJ Shipbuilding & Construction. 🎉   These two vessels represent the latest additions of the ECOBOX-series, consisting of six 5,500 TEU container ships. They boast state-of-the-art specifications and an environmentally friendly design, resulting in a remarkable 40% reduction in fuel consumption. 🚢   Upon delivery, both vessels will embark on a 7-year charter with ZIM Integrated Shipping Services, contributing to the growth and efficiency of their shipping operations. 🌐   We extend our heartfelt congratulations to our team, as well as the dedicated teams at MPC Container Ships ASA, Wilhelmsen Ship Management, and Wilhelmsen Ahrenkiel Ship Management, for their exceptional hard work and commitment throughout the construction process. 🙌   #shipping #vessels #environmentallyfriendly #teamwork #construction #milestone

2024 is off to a great start! 🚀 Here are some highlights from our Q1 financials released today: 📈 Solid growth in recurring management fees: Up 4% year-on-year driven by the expansion of our energy transition and maritime services. 📈 And a busy quarter in terms of transaction activity, too: Transaction fees are up 64% year-on-year thanks to our involvement in maritime projects related to the decarbonization of the sector. 📈 We report an EBT of €7.0m (Q1 2023: €4.1m): The significant increase in earnings is the result of robust deal flow, cost discipline, and the sustained returns from our co-investment portfolio. 💪 Our balance sheet remains rock-solid with an equity ratio of 85%. Constantin S. Baack has been appointed as the new MPC Capital AG Chief Executive Officer as of June 2024. At the same time, our long-standing CEO Ulf Holländer will seamlessly transition to our Supervisory Board. We are very grateful for Ulf's 24 years of dedicated contribution to MPC Capital and all its stakeholders.   In addition, Christian Schwenkenbecher will join our management board as Chief Client Officer from June 2024 onwards.   With Constantin S.
