🚀 Exciting news 🚀 We are thrilled to welcome Kolja Hosch as Messer’s new Chief Human Resources Officer. Kolja is bringing over 17 years of global experience to Messer. With a strong and highly experienced management background in diverse business units, Kolja will oversee Messer’s global human resources function and shape the respective people strategy. He will further drive Messer and boost employee engagement through HR initiatives while continuing to foster a culture of performance and sustainable growth. Most recently, Kolja served globally as Head of HR Business Unit Adsorbents & Additives, Head of HR EMEA, as well as Managing Director Germany at Clariant. He also gained global experiences during his career at Axalta, where he worked as Global HR Business Partner and Head of HR EMEA. He began his career in 2006 at DuPont. In addition, Kolja has been actively involved in employers' associations for many years, including in the German federal state of Hesse, where our headquarters are located. [Hydrogen-powered mobility] It sounds good. It performs even better 🎵 Messer and Toyota Tsusho have joined forces to accelerate the deployment of clean hydrogen mobility in Europe and announced the formation of a joint venture named SympH₂ony.   On June 26, representatives of Messer and Toyota Tsusho Europe, including members of the respective management boards, gave the official go-ahead for the joint venture at the headquarters of SympH₂ony in Bad Soden, Germany. During the event, Bernd Eulitz, CEO of Messer (left), and Hiromasa Ishii, President and CEO of Toyota Tsusho Europe SA, also presented the newly launched website symph2ony.eu.   SympH₂ony offers fleet mobility solutions based on clean hydrogen including zero-emission vehicles, hydrogen refueling stations and hydrogen supplies with optional on-site production of H₂ as well as the services required for reliable operation – all tailored to specific needs of customers (companies, cities, municipalities, and port operators). 📢 Have you heard?   Messer is expanding its production capacity in Spain and has opened a new filling plant for cylinder gases in Estella (Navarre), Spain. The plant will be used to fill industrial, food, medical, and special gases in cylinders and bundles for delivery to Messer’s customers in northern Spain.    The commissioning of this filling plant led to the direct and indirect creation of 25 new jobs in the region. The plant offers a production capacity of 250,000 gas cylinders per year and will be powered entirely by renewable energy. In the future, the plant will also include additional filling lines for green hydrogen. [Circular economy] Get ready to close the loop and discover innovative solutions for the sustainable recycling of tires at THE TIRE COLOGNE, in Cologne, Germany 🚀 Nitrogen and the related gas technologies from Messer play a key role in both the material and chemical recycling of tires. ♻ Cold grinding with liquid nitrogen is a proven application for material recycling, which is used to separate the different materials of tires and produce very fine rubber powders. ♻ Tire pyrolysis is used for the chemical recycling of end-of-life tires. Gaseous nitrogen is injected to replace ambient air before feeding shredded tires into the pyrolysis reactor, thereby protecting the tires, preventing combustion, and ensuring safe operation. Messer Serbia in collaboration with the groups’ medical department organized and joined the 19th Belgrade International Symposium on Pain (19th BISOP), held in Belgrade, Serbia, on May 18, 2024. BISOP has developed into Serbia's most important multidisciplinary symposium in the field of pain medicine. At the 19th BISOP, we focused on how to translate evidence into practice. During this international symposium, Messer held a 2-hour plenary session on the applications of Placynox® in pain therapy. This session was led by Dr. Tatjana Ilić Mostić, Serbia's leading gynecologist, and Dr. Ana Mandras, Serbia's leading pediatric anesthesiologist. Both physicians highlighted how they successfully manage pain using Placynox® and the Mobile Destruction Unit (MDU) from Medclair AB. Additionally, during the symposium, we introduced our gas mixture to a diverse audience from various fields. The insights shared in this collaborative exchange of ideas were genuinely valuable. A big “thank you” goes out to our colleagues, Kristina Stankovic, Marijana Burinovic, Andrija Radumilo, and Simon Lewis, for their outstanding contributions to this remarkable exhibition.
