Regional Manager Africa Christoph Hemming Retires 🎉 After almost 37 years with MC-Bauchemie, Regional Manager Africa Christoph Hemming retired on 30 June 2024, handing the position over to Yassine Ben Ayada. 🌍 Hemming joined MC on 1 September 1987 after studying economics at the Ruhr University in Bochum. 🎓 He started as an assistant and moved through various leadership roles, including Head of Internal Sales Export Europe, Head of the Overseas Division, Divisional Manager, and Head of the Organisation and IT department. 📈 He also served as interim Head of Marketing and Human Resources. 💼 Since 2012, Hemming has focused on expanding MC's presence in Africa, successfully establishing companies in Guinea, Ghana, Ethiopia, and Tanzania. 🌍 "We would like to thank Mr. Hemming for his extraordinary commitment over the past three and a half decades. 🎉Art installation made of cast concrete 🎨🏗️ Aachen-based artist Brele Scholz continues to prove that art and construction chemicals can indeed be bedfellows. While she has experimented with resins in the past, she recently used MC's Emcekrete 60 A casting concrete for a new art project, an installation of 88 piglets She then combined them with a wooden sow to draw attention to the plight of livestock in factory farming. The installation is called ‘The sow of current times with 88 piglets’. 🐷 "The grouting concrete from MC was easy to work with and left beautiful, low-porosity surfaces. It also helped me to produce so many piglets quickly," says Brele Scholz. 👆 Highly Resilient Floor Created with MC-DUR PowerCoat 🌟🏗️ An industrial floor with extremely high resistance to chemical attack, mechanical impact, and high temperatures was installed in a new edible oil production hall in Čepin, Croatia. The client, the Žito Group, chose MC-DUR PowerCoat 240 PU/cement hybrid flooring from MC, which fully met the high requirements of the tender. 💪 The Žito Group is one of Croatia's leading food companies, specializing in the production of high-quality comestibles. Founded in 1992, it now employs over 1,500 people and unites around thirty brands under one roof. 🍽️ Built in 1942 in the town of Čepin in eastern Croatia, the Žito Group’s edible oil factory underwent extensive modernization in 2017, including the construction of new silos, an extraction plant, and a floor storage area for sunflower seeds.
