At #MBition, our commitment to supporting our LGBTQIA+ colleagues is unshakeable, and #PrideMonth offers a special opportunity to highlight the significance of diversity and inclusion.   Our MBitioneers come from various backgrounds, cultures, and identities, each contributing unique perspectives and talents to our company. We are dedicated to maintaining a culture of acceptance and understanding where everyone can learn and grow without discrimination.   Throughout this June, we want to honor the struggles and achievements of the LGBTQIA+ community. We acknowledge that the journey towards equality is ongoing, and we strive to make MBition a safe space to encourage a positive change.   But our commitment extends beyond just Pride Month! We're excited to participate in the Christopher Street Day (CSD) celebrations in July together with our Mercedes-Benz Colleagues. In addition, we're fostering an even more inclusive work environment through a LGBTQ+ Awareness session for our MBitioneers. These initiatives are some examples for our dedication to acceptance and equality. Join us in celebrating love, acceptance, and diversity, not just during Pride Month, but always. Recently, we hosted “AI@MBition: Leveraging Latest AI Advancements”, an engaging event providing the opportunity to dive into the world of artificial intelligence and its practical applications. We brought together over 200 MBitioneers, both onsite and remote, had numerous fruitful discussions, and developed ideas for further enhancing our internal workflows. One of the highlights of the event was the enlightening keynote speech by Dr. Patrick Ebel from the University of Leipzig, with his presentation about the transformative power of AI in user interface design, he gave valuable insights and perspectives. Several examples of AI in software-products were also discussed: We explored how parking analytics allow effective tracking of parking spaces and occupancies around our office, and showcased the capabilities of the Mercedes-Benz Voice Assistant. There was significant interest in specific topics aimed at supercharging work life, such as: - Defect Detective, an AI system that identifies potential duplicate bug tickets and therefore helps maintaining a clean ticket backlog -  Knowledge Assistant, an AI-driven chatbot that serves as a natural language interface to internal knowledge sources by simplifying information discovery and replacing tedious searches with interactive queries -  Review Ranger, an AI system integrated into Git repositories that provides automated code reviews and enhances code quality by offering configurable focus, valuable comments, and suggestions After this productive and exciting day of discussing these exciting new technology developments, we’re now looking even more forward to leveraging AI technologies to further increase our workflows!

Two weeks ago, we joined our Mercedes-Benz colleagues for the Berlin Company Run once again! This year, 113 MBitioneers tied their running shoes for the 5.5km run, starting at the Brandenburg Gate and passing by some of Berlin’s landmarks such as the Siegessäule and Großer Tiergarten. With an impressive total of 560 participants, Mercedes-Benz was the second largest team of the evening. Just like last time, all MBition and Mercedes-Benz colleagues proudly wore t-shirts featuring the rainbow flag, symbolizing our dedication to encourage an inclusive workplace where everyone is heard and valued. Congratulations to every participant on your achievement, and a big thank you to SG Stern Deutschland e.V. for the seamless organisation! We’re already looking forward to taking part in 2025 again!

Yesterday, we hosted the Girls'Day - Mädchen-Zukunftstag at our UX Lab and it was an incredible day! Ten girls aged 10 to 14 joined us for an exciting day filled with insights into the world of software development. Across four engaging stations, they explored game design, coding basics, and UI/UX. The last station was an exclusive car showcase, where they had the opportunity to sit in our Mercedes-Benz EQS and S-Class while experiencing our innovations in automotive technology. Our racing simulator provided the perfect adrenaline rush, allowing our young visitors to experience the excitement of driving a car firsthand. A huge thank you to everyone who made Girls’ Day at MBition a memorable success. It was heartwarming to witness the enthusiasm and curiosity in the eyes of the participants throughout the day, and it strengthened our commitment to empowering and supporting the future generation on their technological journey.

On April 25th, we're once again opening our doors for the official Girls'Day - Mädchen-Zukunftstag!   Like we did last year, we're excited to invite girls aged 10-14 for a day of exploring the world of automotive software development.     Our goal is to promote technical and scientific professions to girls and women and encourage them to pursue careers in traditionally male-dominated fields.  Under the headline „A Day as a Software Developer for Mercedes-Benz Vehicles“, our guests will get hands-on experience at interactive workstations and learn about various aspects of automotive software development. They will also get an inside look into our testing-garage and cars!    No additional devices are required, just bring your curiosity and enthusiasm for technology. Once again, #MercedesBenz electric drive technology takes real-world efficiency to an exciting new level:    The VISION EQXX has twice proven its ability to cover well over 1,000 kilometres on a single charge (Sindelfingen – Cassis and Untertürkheim – Silverstone). On its third long-distance road trip over 1,000+ kilometres, the VISION EQXX technology programme demonstrated that even the Arabian Desert is no obstacle to energy efficiency.    “With an exceptional consumption of just 7.4 kWh/100 km*, the VISION EQXX continues to provide valuable data for ongoing development of advanced electric efficiency technologies. As expected, all systems performed perfectly in the desert conditions, handling challenges such as road surface finish and temperature as well as dust with ease. Further proof that electric drive is ready for global markets.” – Markus Schäfer, Chief Technology Officer at Mercedes-Benz Group AG    The purpose of this third trip was to maximise efficiency in all areas and examine system performance as well as the performance of the solar roof on the VISION EQXX under extreme desert conditions. Of particular interest in the dry desert heat of up to 34 degrees Celsius was the car’s advanced thermal management. The intelligent on-demand system kept the electric drivetrain and the cabin cool. The air conditioning system was operational during the trip with minimal negative impact on energy efficiency thanks in part to the multisource heat pump. The 1,010 km (627.6 miles) route encompassed busy city streets and open desert roads and was completed in a total driving time of 12 hours and 45 minutes.    In a region often associated with super sports cars and full-size SUVs, the compact dimensions and sleek proportions of the VISION EQXX drew intense interest. The slippery drag coefficient of just 0.17 pairs with a sophisticated fastback design to represent a highly desirable ambassador for electric mobility. Likewise, with charging infrastructure still sparse in many parts of the world, this was a valuable opportunity to demonstrate long-range electric efficiency under real-life conditions.    #MercedesBenz #VISIONEQXX #Innovation    *on-board consumption without charging losses
