Metal pigments can cause a mirror effect and interfere with the reflective near-infrared (NIR) signals of sorting machines. Together with ECKART Effect Pigments, a leading manufacturer of metallic effect and pearl pigments, Lifocolor has developed masterbatch solutions that can be detected. The new effect masterbatches offer both attractive silver effects and a high degree of NIR detectability.
