Klippel has now released an update of the 𝗞𝗟𝗜𝗣𝗣𝗘𝗟 𝗘𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗧𝗲𝘀𝘁 (𝗞𝗘𝗧) in conjunction with the newest update of dB-Lab 212. The second significant update part focuses on improving temperature monitoring accuracy in KET. Internal test stimuli have been optimized to minimize variations in temperature measurement, especially at high levels. 𝗞𝗟𝗜𝗣𝗣𝗘𝗟 𝗘𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗧𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲! Klippel has now released an update of the 𝗞𝗟𝗜𝗣𝗣𝗘𝗟 𝗘𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗧𝗲𝘀𝘁 (𝗞𝗘𝗧) in conjunction with the newest update of dB-Lab 212. The KET software now supports the Unica amplifier platform by Powersoft, offering an extended U/I range of up to 220Vpeak and 80 Apeak. Our Head of QC and R&D Development Stefan Irrgang and KCS Application Engineer Stephan Schönfeld will present a workshop about the product life cycle of a typical, actively controlled car speaker system from design over pre-production and mass production up to the monitoring and control in the final use inside a car. AVAS (acoustic vehicle alerting systems) are used as an example for special safety and quality requirements. Practical demos during the workshop show typical tasks mandatory for the different phases of product life. 𝗘𝗻𝗱-𝗼𝗳-𝗟𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗧𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘀 𝗠𝘂𝗰𝗵 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘂𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗕𝗮𝗱 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘀 For manufacturers of audio equipment, such as speaker components, speaker units, and speaker systems, it is necessary to test the performance and sound quality of the final product in mass production to control the quality. EoL testing is much more than separating good from bad units. It is also about using the information contained in the defects to improve the design and optimize the production processes. That requires a detailed, sophisticated analysis that must be done using the latest insights in electro-acoustic, including nonlinear modeling, mechanical models, FEM, simulation, and many more.   𝗤𝗖 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗲 𝗙𝗲𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 – 𝗦𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗲𝗱 Speed is very important for End-of-Line (EoL) testing and it is significantly affected by the choice of test stimuli. The most accurate way of measuring a DUT’s behavior is through steady-state measurements. This implies that the acquisition begins when the amplitudes of all state variables (e.g., pressure, excursion, current) are settled and constant after the test stimulus is applied. The time it takes for state variables to settle and become constant depends on the resonance frequency, the quality factor of the fundamental and other higher-order modal resonators (cone breakup modes). The Pure Acourate Sound project demonstrated at the High-End Munich that it is possible to produce ultra-low distortion sound without bass boom using their loudspeaker system. At their booth, visitors of the trade fair had the opportunity to experience this unique setup and meet its designers. Prior to the presentation at the May 2024 Munich High-End show, Technical Editor Jan Didden had the chance to preview the project. 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗮𝗽 𝗠𝗮𝘆 – 𝗞𝗟𝗜𝗣𝗣𝗘𝗟 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗮 𝗝𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆 Our Head of Support, Thomas Wicke, had a productive and eventful China trip in May! He spent two weeks there and visited Prolight and Sound China in Guangzhou, where he teamed up with our Chinese distributors ILE Technology and Jingyin Electronic Technology at the trade fair.   After that, he traveled to Shen Zhen to lead a seminar with our third Chinese distributor Pana Sound on '𝙂𝙚𝙩𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘼𝙘𝙘𝙪𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙚 𝟑𝘿 𝙎𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙙-𝙛𝙞𝙚𝙡𝙙 𝘿𝙖𝙩𝙖 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙇𝙤𝙘𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙯𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙗𝙡𝙚𝙢𝙨 𝙞𝙣 𝙀𝙤𝙇 𝙏𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜'. It's great to hear that over 90 participants were able to engage with the seminar and had the chance to explore questions like "How do I get accurate 3D sound field data for my speaker?" and "How can I get the maximum benefit out of my production?"
