Gemeinsam fit bleiben und Spaß haben! Die letzten Monate haben wir mehr oder weniger gemeinsam für das Deutsche Sportabzeichen trainiert. Unser Ziel war es, die Gemeinschaft zu fördern und dabei etwas für die Gesundheit zu tun. Der Spaßfaktor sollte auch nicht zu kurz kommen, daher war der krönende Abschluss unser Sportfest letzte Woche im Freibad Lünen-Brambauer. 🎉 Dankeschön an alle die mitgemacht und fleißig trainiert haben und bei unserem Sportfest dabei waren. Und danke an unseren Kollegen Volker Grunenberg für die Orga, die vielen Tipps, die leckere Kürbissuppe und die 30.000 Schritte beim Sportfest 🙏 😅. Mit 30 aktiven Sportlern und Sportlerinnen sowie einigen Unterstützern (anfeuern ist schließlich auch wichtig) hatten wir ein lustiges, sportliches Event. Das Wetter hat dann doch noch mitgespielt und die Schwimmbadpommes haben auch geschmeckt. 😋 Besonders beeindruckt hat uns euer Ehrgeiz in den verschiedenen Disziplinen. Ein großes Kompliment an die Hartgesottenen, die sogar ins kalte Wasser gegangen sind – das war wirklich eine Leistung! 🥶 Nun geht es an die Auswertung der Ergebnisse, die wir dann beim Deutscher Olympischer Sportbund (DOSB) einreichen. Wie viele Sportabzeichen es insgesamt geworden sind, werden wir dann sehen. Die letzten Disziplinen werden gerade noch absolviert. Dieses Event hat uns wieder mal gezeigt: Zusammen macht doch alles noch mehr Spaß und wir sollten mal wieder öfter so etwas machen. 😍 #unternehmenskultur

Wie findet man eigentlich den richtigen Namen für ein Unternehmen? Und wie ist man damals auf itemis gekommen? Das habe ich mal unsere Gründer Wolfgang und Jens gefragt. Denn schließlich gibt es viele Faktoren, die man beachten muss. Damals (also vor etwas mehr als 20 Jahren) haben die beiden diese Arbeit an eine befreundete Werbeagentur abgegeben. Ganz großen Dank noch mal an Martin Schumacher. 🤩 Unsere Freunde hatten dann eine göttliche Eingebung und kamen auf die griechische Titanin Themis, besser bekannt als römische Göttin Justitia. Die mit der Waage und der Augenbinde. Das „h“ kam weg und ein „i“ kam an den Anfang. Schließlich sind wir ein IT-Unternehmen. Zack, der Name war geboren – itemis. Wobei das wahrscheinlich nicht so schnell ging, wie sich das jetzt anhört. 😜 Ich kann mir jedoch gut vorstellen, dass die Findung eines Namens für die eigene Firma gar nicht so einfach ist. Oder? #gründung
