  • 🇬🇪 The newest edition of the Georgian Energy Sector Reform Programme (GESRP) quarterly newsletter is here, which provides a detailed overview of our program's progress and initiatives. This issue spotlights #EnergyEfficiency in Buildings, reflecting the #EU’s focus on energy efficiency as essential for mitigating climate change and building a resilient energy infrastructure. The programme focussed on workstreams such as #EnergyEfficiency, Energy Efficiency in Buildings, #ReneawableEnergy, #PowerMarket, and communications and visibility as a cross-cutting activity. GESRP, financed and supported by the #EU and KfW, being implemented by an international consortium led by intec - GOPA-International Energy Consultants, is dedicated to assisting Georgia in aligning with the EU’s trajectory toward a more liberalized, secure, and #climatefriendly energy sector. Significant progress has been made in enhancing building energy standards across Georgia. The GESRP team has developed and drafted 12 bylaws related to Energy Efficiency in Buildings and are designed to improve energy performance calculations, establish rules for the use of energy performance software, and set guidelines for energy efficiency certification. With several bylaws already in effect and others on the way, we are steadily advancing our regulatory framework. 🏢 Expanding beyond regulations, GESRP has initiated extensive training programs aimed at equipping architects, designers, and installers with the necessary skills to meet these new standards. Our efforts extend beyond Tbilisi, reaching out to municipalities throughout Georgia to maximize our impact. 🌐 In this edition, we also highlight the Integrated National Energy and Climate Plan (INECP) of Georgia, which outlines our path to energy neutrality by 2050. Additionally, the introduction of the Georgian Energy Efficiency Certification Buildings (GEECB) software tool is set to revolutionize compliance and performance tracking in the construction sector. 🏗 For a more detailed exploration of our efforts and to stay informed about what’s next for GESRP, we invite you to read the full newsletter. 📎 #EuropianUnion KfW #GESRP #EnergyEfficiency #SustainableDevelopment #EUinGeorgia #EnergyInnovation
