🚀 We had an incredible time at the Long Night of Science at the Universität Ulm! 🚀 This year, our team members again brought the motto “Experience Artificial Intelligence” to life, allowing the public to interact with our robot #Pepper and the eye tracker #Tobii. 👀 At our interactive eye tracker station, we demonstrated how both humans and AI analyze and understand images. The audience, from curious children to enthusiastic adults, was deeply engaged in these experiments and discussions. 🤖 Our humanoid robot Pepper, connected to a #LLM (#ChatGPT), conversed with visitors, sparking fascination and excitement among all age groups. We were thrilled to see so many people interested in AI and its potential. Thank you to everyone who stopped by and made this event a success!

Institut für Business Analytics der Universität Ulm hat dies direkt geteilt
💡 With AI as a scalable, user-orientated service ("AI-as-a-Service"), SMEs can independently generate added value through AI even without deep AI expertise and with limited resources. ❓However, "AI-as-a-Service" is still rarely used due to a lack of traceability. Traceability can be made possible by the emerging research field of Explainable Artificial Intelligence (XAI). 🔎 With the help of automatically generated explanations of AI predictions, users can understand the decisions suggested by the AI and at the same time learn to use AI in a reflective manner (keyword AI literacy). 🤝 We are working together to solve this problem in the Project "XAIaaS for SMEs". The aim of the research project is to investigate how new XAI approaches can be used in the sense of "XAI-as-a-Service" to ensure the acceptance of AI and close the AI literacy gap in SMEs.
