Yesterday our team came together to participate in the J.P. Morgan Run in Frankfurt. With over 50 runners we mastered the 5.6 km with great team spirit demonstrating mutual support and enthusiasm. We are proud of every team member for their hard work and dedication throughout the race. This participation reflects the commitment of HMETC to foster a supportive and active work environment, enhancing collaboration. After the race, we had a get-together where we relaxed and celebrated the evening. It was a fantastic way to unwind and connect outside of the office. Together, we break boundaries. Hyundai Motor Company has announced the appointment of Eduardo Ramírez as the new Chief Designer of Hyundai Design Europe, effective 1st of June. Eduardo Ramírez will lead the Hyundai Design Europe Center and reinforce Hyundai’s design competitiveness in the fast-changing global automotive industry to provide “customer-centric design innovation” and a unique customer experience that sets Hyundai apart. Hyundai Motor Europe Technical Center has recently donated a Kia XCeed to the Institute of Automotive Engineering of TH Köln. We are pleased to foster collaboration between industry and academia by driving innovation in automotive research and development. The vehicle has already been mechanically prepared, assembled to a hexapod and equipped with a steering and pedal simulator to serve as mock-up cabin for Driver-in-the-Loop simulations of vehicle dynamics. This collaboration highlights our commitment to nurturing future talents and advancing the field of vehicle engineering by supporting the research efforts of students and aspiring engineers. We are pleased to welcome Tyrone Johnson as new Managing Director of Hyundai Motor Europe Technical Center, effective since January 1, 2024. He will be supported by Seon Pyung Kim who joined HMETC as Vice President on January 1st 2024.    Johnson joined HMETC in August 2018 and comes with extensive experience in the automotive industry, having excelled in various leadership roles over the past years.   "I am deeply honored and humbled by the trust and confidence bestowed upon me by the company. I joined Hyundai, drawn to its pioneering spirit in shaping the future of transportation. Throughout my career, I have been captivated by the immense opportunities and challenges presented by our industry. With Hyundai, these possibilities are not mere aspirations but tangible realities.
