There’s no sign of our Berlin office winding down for the summer. Last week, a team from PCI Group, our distributor for China, Hong Kong, and Macau, visited us for five days of intense training and planning meetings. All departments got involved to ensure Prime Connections International Holding Co. Limited was equipped with knowledge of the latest upgrades and technology features to continue driving the adaptation of HOLOPLOT technology in the Asian pro audio market. Following on from remote sessions the in-person training included sessions on all new Plan 2.0 and insights into the wider HOLOPLOT software ecosystem, as well as hands-on sessions on system commissioning and tuning. The week was a huge success with the PCI team walking away with the highest level of certification, enabling them to offer manufacturer-standard quality service to their customers. When The Moonwalkers took over residency at Lightroom, the hardware remained firmly in place, yet the sound design changed dramatically. Leveraging HOLOPLOT’s unique 3D Audio-Beamforming capabilities sound designer Tom Hackley was able to visualize his ideas in our intuitive sound system design software, HOLOPLOT Plan. He quickly discovered the benefits of a software based system, acknowledging the impact on a speedy ideation and design process, as well as transferring shows from one space into another - from Lightroom London to Lightroom Seoul in this case. “With the Holoplot systems, everything is done in the software, it’s instant and once rehearsals started, it was a huge help to brainstorm when Tom [Hanks] wanted to try out ideas in the space [...]The interior of the venue [in Seoul] is very similar to London, but it’s purpose built so we have more positions for speakers and there have been some additions. Senior Applications Engineer Jack Human recently visited our partner in South Korea, Starnetworks to deliver two days of presentations and workshops to their entire audio team. The days consisted of an introduction to our technology fundamentals of 3D Audio-Beamforming and WFS, how to design Matrix Array sound systems in HOLOPLOT Plan, onboarding and training on the new functionalities of OS2.0 as well as how to correctly deploy and commission a HOLOPLOT sound system. Together with Creative Technology System Integration we recently presented HOLOPLOT technology at the second edition of ForsaTEK held at the prestigious Emirates Headquarters in Dubai. The event aims to shine a light on the transformative power of tech innovation and collaboration and featured cutting-edge demos, including our HOLOPLOT X1 Matrix Array. The audio demo took place in the main event space and consisted of focus spots and multi-zone content as well as a long throw beam projected over 50m with no loss of level, all within the acoustically challenging environment of the main atrium space. With a modest array size of only three MD96 modules, we showcased the basics of our unique Sound Control capabilities and the event sparked plenty of interesting conversation and ideas for possible applications and projects within the aviation space.
