    “The Place to be for Kitchen and Bath Business” says the KBC website, Asia's leading trade fair for kitchen and bathroom equipment. Reason enough to be here in Shanghai this year. Our booth at the KBC is very well attended and we are pleased about the great interest of our customers and partners. For us as the Hansgrohe Group, as well as for me personally, being on site is very important, so that we can see for ourselves what is going on in the Asian market. Both with the range of products that we provide there with AXOR and hansgrohe. Secondly, to talk to customers and understand their needs. We want to continuously learn how we can help them even better with our production in the region. But also to communicate our conviction of “Local 4 Local” and to strengthen it locally. For us, being on site also means visiting our production facility in Songjiang, near Shanghai. Visiting the factory and regions where we are represented is also a sign of our appreciation for our employees there. This applies to me as COO, but also to Hans Juergen Kalmbach and the members of the supervisory board, Klaus Jaenecke and Richard Grohe. We don't just want to show our employees that we see them. We also want to talk to them directly and be there for them. Our "Townhall Meeting" offers a good opportunity to get into conversation. The better we understand our employees on site, the better we can help them to do their job to the best of their capabilities. Because the “Hansgrohe spirit” that defines us is not a Black Forest peculiarity. It is the unifying element of all those who work so hard for us day in, day out.     Turning it green… 🌱 Many people at Hansgrohe are driving sustainability within the company. One of them is David Zapf, Process Engineer for Plastics and Surface Technology: Because only products of impeccable quality leave the factory, Hansgrohe produces up to 100 tons of chrome-plated plastic rejects every year. “How can we recycle these?” That’s the question David Zapf and team asked themselves before deciding to launch a research project.     Yesterday, the Kallenwald wind turbine in our Ortenau region (Germany) was officially inaugurated. What a memorable day for the Hansgrohe Group! From now on, this wind turbine will be turning to supply our nearby production sites in Offenburg and Schiltach with renewable energy. We are proud to be one of the first regional purchasers of renewable electricity. Together with badenova, we are thus sending a strong signal for local energy transition. The agreement with the Freiburg-based energy service provider is an important step on the path to decarbonization. We are pleased to have badenova as an experienced and reliable partner at our side and would like to thank them for their trusting cooperation. The Kallenwald wind turbine supplies renewable electricity to Hansgrohe via a service provider and is located in the district of Seelbach. It 📌 stands at an altitude of around 545 meters, 📌 has a total height of 230 meters and a rated output of 4.2 megawatts, 📌 generates around 9 million kWh of electricity annually 📌 and thus generates around 3,690 tons of CO2 savings per year.     Turning it green… 🌱 Many people at Hansgrohe are driving sustainability within the company. One of them is Sabrina Klaussner, Customer Service expert: “Our work devices, the internet and supporting systems contribute to 3.7 % of GHG emissions worldwide, with an expected doubling by 2025*. We often don't realize how much electricity large email attachments or old documents on the server use,” says Sabrina Klaussner. The 31-year-old Customer Service expert and her team launched a digital clean-up challenge as part of the Green Expert Program 2023**: The data from two areas is evaluated, cleaned out and remeasured. “The challenge is to integrate this into day-to-day business,” says Klaussner. “Especially the longer you've been with the company.” It is a fact that the “digital waste” has to be disposed of: Hansgrohe is switching to cloud-based solutions in many places. “We need to be aware of our digital footprint,” says Klaussner. “Climate protection also takes place digitally.” 2024 calls for a challenge in other departments. #InTouchWithOurPlanet ------------------------------------------------------- * World Economic Forum, Energy Transition, 2021 ** A program to build expertise in sustainability at Hansgrohe

    Congratulations on moving in! 🎉 ...to my colleagues in Great Britain. They relocated our UK subsidiary and the warehouse from Esher and Woking to Warwick. All working areas are now consolidated at one location. The new premises offer a modern working environment and enough space for a hansgrohe and AXOR showroom, as well as an Installer Academy and training rooms for our sales team, customers and partners. It was a pleasure to celebrate the opening of our new location in Warwick and to take a ride with our so called ‘hansgrohe Water Wagon’ together with my colleagues 😊.     Turning it green... 🌱 Many people at Hansgrohe are driving sustainability within the company. One of them is Timo Bok, Head of Building Engineering: All Hansgrohe locations should strive to be free of fossil fuels. Timo Bok is currently developing a concept for this vision. “I’m always thinking about sustainability,” he says. The 46-year-old has been proving this for ten years at Hansgrohe, such as when working on our new faucet production facility in Valjevo, Serbia: “It’s negative 20 Celsius there in the winter and over 40 Celsius in the summer. The aim was to avoid high energy consumption for heating and air conditioning.” The solution of a photovoltaic system, 26 centimeters of roof insulation, a combined heat and power unit and triple-glazed windows led to grateful employees on site – and LEED* certification. Bok has even more ideas, such as using process heat from plastic injection molding and hydrogen as alternative energy sources, as well as designing buildings with a focus on biodiversity.     The 2023 fiscal year has put a damper on the entire bathroom and sanitary industry. After our record results in 2021 and 2022, the past year was very challenging for the Hansgrohe Group. "In light of the economic developments, particularly in the construction sector, the course of business in 2023 is, despite everything, satisfactory for us; after all, it is the second most successful financial year in our company's history," Hansgrohe CEO Hans Juergen Kalmbach summarizes at the today’s annual press conference. The Hansgrohe Group achieved a total turnover of €1.406 billion in 2023. Compared to the previous year, this represents (€1.550 billion) a decline of minus 9.3 percent. "I would particularly like to emphasize the great flexibility of all our employees at all sites. Thanks to their willingness to adjust their working hours and use their time accounts, we were able to respond to the change in demand without having to be on short hours;" says Kalmbach, "therefore, I would like to express my sincere thanks to the international Hansgrohe team on behalf of my colleagues on the Executive Board.
