The magic of body language New training formats at Groz-Beckert In May 2024 we offered a new series of workshops to our apprentices and students. The participants spent two mornings each discovering the power of body language and reading changes in their facial expressions. They had lots of fun trying out professional roles, gender roles and different clothing styles and testing their effect on others. The young participants quickly realized that communication involves all senses and that we are often perceived differently by others. Here's some feedback on the workshops: ·        "Body-talk has inspired me a lot, highly recommended!" ·        "Very exciting, I can now read physical behavior much better." ·        "I would never have thought that body language could have such an effect." "Body-talk" is part of the new "Personality & Communication" training formats that also include this year's "Let's talk" workshop series. "Let's talk" focuses on empathy, effective communication, conflict resolution and corresponding tools. A whole lot of practical experience, openness and humor guarantee a lasting learning experience. "It's great to see how the apprentices rediscover each other as a team and learn to appreciate their differences", says Sandra Keisers, Coach for Training & Studies at Groz-Beckert. Besides professional training, Groz-Beckert also focuses on personal development. Mental and social health, occupational health management and cultural issues such as diversity are not only topics for specialists and managers, but also for young talents. Our "Spinnerei", an external seminar room with many agile components, provided the perfect creative setting for these workshops. It is important to us to provide our apprentices and students with both specialist knowledge and holistic support. That's why we have created the position of "Coach for Apprenticeships and Studies" as a key role for high-quality training.   Sandra Keisers is not only a mentor, coach and trainer, but also a companion when it comes to personal and professional progress. She supports trainers and apprentices in the development of soft skills and social competencies – from conflict management and individual coaching to prevention and motivation measures. And she also assists our trainers with valuable advice and information on social issues.   Her summary of the first few months: “It's thrilling to discover the individual strengths of our young talents and promote their potential. I see the variety of challenges as an opportunity for personal growth. 💡 Further education and soccer ⚽ – a perfect match? You bet! "You only stop learning when you quit", said soccer player Ruud Gullit.
