Gerd Ruhland has led our company with extraordinary commitment and visionary leadership and has contributed significantly to our success. We wish him much success and pleasure in his new role at Indutrade. At the same time, we are very pleased that the management will now be taken over by a long-standing member of our own team, Benjamin Ploeger, from 1 August 2024. Benjamin brings extensive experience and in-depth knowledge of our company and will continue to successfully steer the business. We look to the future with confidence and look forward to achieving new successes together. An urgent delivery of our high-quality valves was due. Thanks to the commitment of our field service, this challenge was promptly mastered. Mario Heilmann made his way to the customer with his car and a trailer loaded with a crate full with our GEFA valves. Especially in our increasingly digital world, people often forget how important personal contact and direct contact persons are. Our field service employees, who cover the whole of Germany, shows that sometimes there is no substitute for personal service. Today we celebrate the 𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐋𝐃 𝐄𝐍𝐕𝐈𝐑𝐎𝐍𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓 𝐃𝐀𝐘 which goes hand in hand with talking about the ongoing climate crisis. At GEFA, we are always focused on finding sustainable solutions on all levels of our business activities and are proud to be part of Indutrade Process, Energy & Water group. On this note we would like to share our latest achievements towards a sustainable development at GEFA Processtechnik GmbH with you. ✅ Last February we passed the ISO 14001 „Environmental Management System“- audit and are certified for another three years! Main topics are: Environmental protection, pollution prevention, waste minimisation, as well as energy and materials consumption reduction. ✅ We not only perform a detailed calculation of our Scope 1 and 2 emissions which paves the way to our climate neutrality by 2030 but also balance our Scope 3 emissions to understand the climate impact along our value chain and take action ✅ We are yearly evaluating our employees satisfaction and work on measures to keep on improving ✅ Besides filling the positions of a sustainability and environmental officer we are also currently creating a interdepartmental Green Team ✅ Offering vegan and vegetarian options in our cafeteria counts as daily business for us ✅ By offering hydrogen suitable valves we are part of the ongoing transformation towards a sustainable energy supply ✅ Most of our rooftops are covered by solar panels producing enough energy to cover our whole electricity demand at the site We are proud of what we have achieved so far to protect our environment and resources and are exciting for more projects to come. 🌳Happy world environment day to everyone!🥳 #gefa #environment #sustainability

As part of their training pact, the young people were given an insight into our activities as an industrial company and were able to gather valuable information about their career options.   Our Technical Manager, Maurizio Zanatta, guided the students through our production halls and introduced them to the industrial mechanic apprenticeship programme, which we will also be offering from August this year. The students were not only able to gain a first impression of the practical work and the diverse areas of responsibility, but were also able to put their questions directly to an expert. Our contact person for trainees, Katrin Kulbartsch, also presented the industrial clerk apprenticeship programme.   We are proud to support young talents on their path to a professional future and offer them guidance.
