“How do we want to LIVE tomorrow?” 🌍 The question was raised during the organization of the International Garden Exhibition (IGA) project by the city of Ruhr. With the goal of promoting the green industry, reducing environmental issues, addressing climate change, energy, and urban development, this project creates opportunities for innovation and promotes collaboration between municipalities. At gbc engineers, we are proud to be part of the design team behind the Haldensprung bridge. Spanning 160 meters and connecting Huckarde and Deusenberg, the bridge stands as a key component of the IGA project, combining industrial cultural space with nature. Designed for pedestrians and cyclists, Haldensprung embodies the harmonious coexistence of urban culture and nature. The bridge is built as a barrier-free truss bridge with adjoining ramps and stairs, as well as a system of a semi-integral structure. Our team provides structural design services within concept design, permit design, and detailed design for steel and concrete structure. Celebrating the success of the CHEFS CULINAR Project with gbc engineers! We're thrilled to be part of constructing the new wholesale warehouse facility at the Eichspitze industrial park in Ludwigsfelde for CHEFS CULINAR, a leading food distributor. Spanning over a 15-hectare site, this state-of-the-art facility boasts approximately 63,000 square meters of GFA, incorporating a production hall, administration building, dry and deep-freeze warehouses, a technological building, goods receiving department, and a warehouse for empties. gbc engineers has provided structural engineering services in the technical and detailed design stages (LP4-6) as well as the workshop fabrication design of over 4,000 unique precast elements for the entire facility. 🚀 Introducing our next big venture - the FRA 3 Data Center! 🚀 We're thrilled to announce that our gbc engineers team has secured the contract for the FRA 3 Data Center! 🎉 Located in Frankfurt am Main, Germany’s bustling data center hub, the 29,900 sqm Data Center generates 30 to 36 MW of IT power over nine data halls in total. As the appointed structural designer, we are committed to not only ensuring structural integrity but also enhancing construction efficiency. Our pivotal role includes two key services: • Concept design of the structure LP3/4, utilizing full precast construction method to accelerate the construction process and reduce construction time. • Detailed structural design LP5 incl. workshop design of precast elements. To kickstart this remarkable project, we're taking a dynamic approach by transitioning from cast-in-situ to precast concrete. Our primary goal? To supercharge the construction process! 🏗️ By incorporating precast elements, we're poised to achieve remarkable gains in construction speed and cost-efficiency.
