This marked Marwin's first school visit in nearly 30 years! The session focused on essential financial topics such as #investing, #saving, and #asset management. Marwin also shared his personal journey, discussing how he became a #CEO and what it means to be responsible for so many people. One of the highlights: Marwin introduced the schoolchildren to the "𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗰 𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗲" 𝗼𝗳 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 -  #return, #safety, and #liquidity. This model is a cornerstone of understanding how different investment options balance these three critical aspects… 💸 𝗥𝗲𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗻: This represents the potential profit or income that an investment can generate. It's the reward for putting your money to work. 💸 𝗟𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗱𝗶𝘁𝘆: This is about how easily an investment can be converted into cash without significantly affecting its value. Liquidity is crucial for flexibility and access to your funds. 💸 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆: This aspect refers to how secure an investment is, essentially the risk of losing the invested capital. Safety is about protecting what you have. Using relatable examples like stocks, cash, ETFs, gold, real estate, and cryptocurrency, our CEO engaged the students in a discussion about how these elements interact in real-world scenarios. For instance, stocks might offer high potential returns but come with higher risks, whereas cash is extremely safe and liquid but offers minimal returns. 💡 Marwin reflected on how valuable it would have been to learn these topics during his own school years. At the EOS Group, we believe that financial literacy is a vital skill that can empower the next generation to make informed decisions and achieve their goals. This topic is often not yet on the school agenda. This is where our finlit foundation's financial education initiative #OhMoney comes in, which aims to support teachers in years 7 to 10 in teaching important financial topics that are relevant to everyday life. 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿!   At the end of June, the EOS Group hosted a dynamic workshop on Legal Operations Management for the Central Europe region. Despite the diverse legal frameworks, our colleagues came together to share innovative ideas for managing legal activities more efficiently and effectively.   𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗽𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗱: 🤖 Adoption of scoring models and campaigns 🤖 Automation ideas such as RPA (Robotic Process Automation) 🤖 Insights on Machine Learning in legal processes by our keynote speaker, Managing Director Carlos Lorenzo from EOS Spain 🤖 Fascinating presentations on robots in legal processes by Dobrin Mirevski, EMBA, Alexander V. Nedelchev, Mateusz Czyżewski and Anna Metrycka   It was inspiring to see how easily ideas from different countries could be implemented across the board. The workshop was not only productive but also filled with concrete actions that we are excited to implement.   Kudos to everyone involved for making these days so insightful and action-oriented!   ❔ 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽, Carlos Lorenzo, André Cornelßen, Vincent Thomas, Michal Havrlent, Peter Keller dr., Ádám Csepella, Peter Kondakow, Dario Schmid, Jana Pečlová, Tatiana Schuldes, Zuzana Dozdová and Annika Singelmann?

𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗽𝗹𝘂𝘀 𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗺-𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵! The last few days fall under the hashtag #celebrate for me: Not only did we celebrate EOS' 50th birthday on June 26, but a few days earlier our Bulgarian subsidiary EOS Matrix Bulgaria celebrated its 22nd anniversary with a big customer event.   A great opportunity to remember the journey we have made together. What is our secret to being so successful 💹 on the Bulgarian market, which is currently undergoing strong consolidation?   ⏱ I think that, among many other factors, it is our long-term orientation that guides our decisions and our actions in the market: EOS does not jump on every short-term trend, but offers security and stability through long-term thinking. As a family-run Otto Group company, we can afford to do business in a more level-headed and considered way than other players in the industry. And this applies at all levels: The analysis and processing of receivables through to the structured development of innovative ideas in our innovation concept "Wall of Fame" and the use of AI in our business.   💡 On the other hand, we have this enormous entrepreneurial spirit in our countries, which inspires us as EOS Group and drives us forward time and time again.   Congrats 🙌🏻 to the consistently great achievements of our Bulgarian colleagues under the leadership of Reny Mitkova and Tihomir Valchev!     #npl #performance #europeanmarkets #receivablesmanagement

𝟳… 𝟮𝟲 … 𝟭𝟰 ... these numbers are years. Years of working for the EOS Group from colleagues who celebrated EOS's 50th birthday with us yesterday. This number sounds unbelievable to my ears: "my" company has 50 years under its belt: seriously?! 🎉 🎁🍾 To celebrate the occasion, we came together for a big international town hall meeting. We cut cakes all over the EOS world and came together via a live stream. Some colleagues told us about their very personal careers and stories at EOS. And it struck me how long many of our colleagues have been with us, like 14, 26 or one of our colleagues from Switzerland even 38 years! 👏🏻 Now, we often hear that if you don't change companies often, you can't deal with change. But honestly, I really can't say that about EOS: The development of this organization, which emerged from an outsourced dunning department of the German OTTO mail order company, is simply impressive: Today, we are one of the leading companies in our industry - and we are nowhere near the end of our development as an international player! 🌍 Speaking of which: we were certainly talking about the past a little. My first day at EOS took place in Greece. Until then, I had been working in an almost purely German environment. Now, I was simply blown away by the diversity of my international colleagues. I immediately sensed that the future of EOS lies in this diversity. And so it is, and I am proud to be a part of it. By the way: 17, that's my number. I've been at it for 17 years. Crazy. And good. 😊 PS: A special thank you goes out to Petra Scharner-Wolff. Great that you stopped by our little party digitally too! 🙌🏻

𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝟭𝟵𝟳𝟰 🎉 On June 26, almost exactly 50 years ago, EOS was founded in Germany under the name Mercator-Inkasso. Today, we can proudly look back on half a century of achievements! Our anniversary celebration was a special highlight: we celebrated on site in Hamburg and in many local offices around the world and broadcast the event via live streaming. 𝗜𝘁 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗢𝗡𝗘 𝗯𝗶𝗴 𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻! The event was a perfect blend of nostalgia and forward-looking optimism, filled with laughter and a spirit of unity that transcended borders. Here's to the next 50 years of #innovation, #collaboration and #success!   And who would have thought? The celebration revealed that our Board of Directors Marwin Ramcke, Carsten Tidow, Stephan Ohlmeyer, PhD, CFA and Justus Hecking-Veltman have a great sense of humor! They were at the center truly embodying the spirit of EOS. Our host, Lara Flemming, charmed and entertained us with her cool and captivating moderation. Thank you so much! 🙌   Many thanks to the special guests from EOS Switzerland AG, EOS France, EOS KSI Romania and Petra Scharner-Wolff who enriched our celebration with their personal stories and congratulations. Once again, it was proven that our international diversity makes us unique and is the driving force behind our success. 🌍   #50years #celebration #EOSGroup

Managing Director Central Europe at EOS Group

Beautiful Switzerland is a country for which I am responsible at EOS Group as Managing Director of the Central Europe region. On my last visit to EOS Switzerland AG, I was thrilled to learn about the ethical approach my local colleagues take towards two central concerns of our entire group: fair debt relief and respectful treatment of consumers. Our colleagues at EOS in Switzerland are keen to help defaulting consumers on their way back towards becoming debt-free. Two new initiatives have been designed to specifically support this effort: 🇨🇭 the web portal with self-service options, and 🇨🇭 the offer of debt counselling and debt restructuring. In April, EOS in Switzerland launched a new mobile-compatible service portal for defaulted payers in four languages. The digital self-service platform makes it easier to pay outstanding debts, which can be settled quickly and securely in full or in self-selected instalments, without having to contact anyone at EOS directly. With great sense of responsibility, our colleagues in Switzerland look after particularly vulnerable consumers. Ideally, debts are paid in full, but in problematic life situations or times of crisis this can be extremely difficult, even impossible. This is why from this year on EOS Switzerland has been proactively offering consumers debt restructuring and debt advice free of charge. Debt restructuring, for example, enables (partial) debt relief for vulnerable consumers. As part of debt counselling, a personal meeting is held with the defaulted payers to draw up a summary of their debts and determine a manageable solution. This can be an instalment agreement or an amicable debt restructuring. I believe this is a fair approach. Of course, profitability is important to us as a company. And debt collection is an important service to the economy. After all, we get involved in situations where credit agreements have been broken. At the same time, fair debt relief and treating consumers with respect are absolutely key. And at EOS we know how to do that. 👉 𝗧𝗼 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗱𝗲𝗯𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: https://lnkd.in/gWkqKTW8
