Introducing the first smart tariff partner of the Energy Hub Alliance, Ostrom! ⚡ Ostrom is a digital energy management platform based in Berlin that makes green electricity affordable and straightforward for households in Germany.   Some words from Ostrom on the partnership with the Energy Hub Alliance: “For us, it is crucial to stick together in the energy sector and utilise synergy effects in order to tackle the climate crisis effectively. Operators of controllable consumption units such as wallboxes, heat pumps or battery storage systems, that were put into operation from January 2024 in Germany, are obliged to participate. There is a transitional model with preventive measure dimensioning until the end of 2028 at the latest. Afterwards units must be controllable in real time according to the condition of the grid. As daunting as this sounds, operators can benefit from the defined modules and there are opportunities for new flexibility propositions and products.
