Bei dem Treffen mit Tobias R. This week, our Head of Governmental Relations & Research Funding, Dr. Roland Krumm, took part in an exciting panel discussion at the “Future of Computing” event organized by the NMWP.NRW. One focus of the discussion was on innovations in computing made in NRW and the influence on the future of autonomous driving. 🚘 “The software-defined vehicle presents #Elmos with new challenges, but at the same time opens up a multitude of opportunities for innovation.” says Dr. Krumm. New intelligent sensors and actuators are needed to meet the increasing demands for higher system complexity and data security. The development of small and energy efficient but also powerful microcontrollers is essential for the future of autonomous driving. These systems must be able to be updated during operation in order to meet the latest safety and cybersecurity requirements. They need to ensure that targeted attacks can be fended off, and unconscious security vulnerabilities can be eliminated.
