New charging tariff to kick off holiday season in Europe! 🔌 ☀ 🚘 Just in time for summer travel plans, we are launching our new charging tariff „Elli Drive Plus“. Starting from 1st July, customers can book this package to unlock price reductions of up to 33 percent* at IONITY charge points in 24 countries within the Elli network for a small monthly fee**. The Elli Drive Plus package reaffirms our commitment to providing innovative and customer-centric charging solutions, making electric vehicle ownership more convenient and affordable across Europe. The new pricing adjustment is strategically designed to offer a more accessible tariff that allows drivers to lower their charging costs at Ionity charge points. Ionity is powered by 100% renewable energy and features ultra-fast charging capacities of up to 350 kW, making long-distance travel sustainable and more affordable for electric vehicle owners. Elli Drive Plus is available for all new subscriptions and provides access to the Ionity network with authentication via RFID card, App and Plug&Charge. Did you know? Smart forecast calculations in Elli's software help to plan the best way to save money when charging your EV, even before you plug it in. This means that your energy consumption is always optimized. The 𝗘𝗹𝗹𝗶 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝟮 features two great new smart features: surplus solar charging and price optimized charging. These two features allow you to charge your EV when electricity is cheapest for you. 💰 It works like this: ☀ 𝗦𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗹𝘂𝘀 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 allows the charger to route excess solar energy from your solar panels right into your EV, maximizing the use of renewable energy and increasing the efficiency of your solar energy production. 📉 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 allows the charger to schedule EV charging during periods when electricity is cheaper. Charging infrastructure remains one of the most important success factors in e-mobility, our CEO Giovanni Palazzo explained at the "Ladeinfrastruktur Konferenz 2024" in Berlin last Thursday. In his key note, he gave specific insights and best practices out of Volkswagen Group markets, and discussed future ideas with prominent decision makers. To boost infrastructure in critical areas of Germany, such as urban centers and communities, we need to energize public charging sites, establish single points of contact for grid connections, and incentivize private investment - just to name a few key initiatives.
