Off to Paris for a good cause 💛 Team Rynkeby Germany is on the road! After several months of training and preparation, nearly 200 bike riders and around 50 supporters started their annual ride to Paris to raise money for a good cause. 🚴♂️💪   Since last weekend five German teams from different cities are on their way to Paris, giving their best to support the German Childhood Cancer Foundation.   Team Rynkeby raises money for charities, research institutions and healthcare services that care for young patients with life-threatening illnesses and their families. It is one of the largest non-professional charity cycling events in the world that has raised more than 94 million euros since its start in 2002. Let's talk about digital logistics! 🗨 In the latest episode of the BVL podcast, Steffen Riedel, Head of Logistics at Eckes-Granini Germany, discussed the advantages of the digital delivery note with presenter Boris Felgendreher from BVL - Bundesvereinigung Logistik and Stefanie Müller from GS1. At Eckes-Granini logistics is central to our business. We did it again and even better than last year! 🏃 🚲 Together we broke our record of 8,560 km and were able to cover an amazing distance of 10,431 km during our “Bewegungswoche” (Exercise Week). Another round of our Eckes-Granini Deutschland Exercise Week, inspired by the annual trip to Paris from the Charity-Team Rynkeby Foundation, was a complete success. 💪 During the week, we planned several activities for our employees in Nieder-Olm. Together we enjoyed table tennis, yoga, crossfit and many more exciting activities. 💸 Organized by our #YoungTalents Team, we collected one euro per kilometer. Employees from all locations in Germany were involved and were able to reach a total of 11,000 euros – what an amazing result! The donation amount will be sent to a fund of the German Childhood Cancer Foundation, which finances the treatment of children with cancer. #EckesGranini #TeamRynkeby #Sustainability

Paperless into the future – we are on the way! 🚀 20 million delivery notes are processed and printed out every year in Germany in the food trade alone. With multiple copies, that's 180 million sheets of paper, which is the equivalent of around 1,500 trees. 🌳 But there is another way! 🌟 Steffen Riedel, Head of Logistics at Eckes-Granini Germany, presented the advantages of a digital solution at the VLB Berlin 25. VLB-Logistikfachkongress „Trends in der Getränkelogistik”. 📳 And these are manifold: The introduction of the digital delivery note, which Eckes-Granini Germany has driven forward together with GS1 Germany GmbH, significantly simplifies the processes involved in handling incoming and outgoing goods. How does this work? The cloud solution "Cloud4Log" allows lorry drivers as well as office and warehouse staff to work with the same data in real time and speeds up the order-to-cash process. This solution not only avoids errors caused by transferring data from paper to IT systems, but also eliminates language barriers between employees, for example. 💧 Sweating for a good cause 💧 Last Saturday we at Eckes-Granini took part in the international spinning event "Spin of Hope". Spin of Hope is an international charity event organised by Team Rynkeby. Across Europe, people are pedalling to raise money for seriously ill children and their families, as well as for cancer research. Reasons enough to get on your bike. 🚲 From 1 pm to 2.30 pm, with the support of Bewegungsforum Nieder-Olm, Team Rynkeby Nieder-Olm pedalled for all it’s worth, accompanied by good music and experienced trainers. A total of 8 nations took part, including Germany, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, the Faroe Islands, Iceland and Switzerland. For more than two decades, Team Rynkeby has been dedicated to raising funds for charities, research institutions and healthcare services that support young patients with life-threatening illnesses and their families. This year's motto is "Your hour for the earth". 💡 Symbolically, we are switching off the lights for one hour today from 8.30 pm to 9.30 pm in Nieder-Olm to set an example for more climate protection, a more climate-friendly society and a strong democracy. Climate protection is part of our identity at Eckes-Granini. Whether in terms of our juices, our packaging, or our ecological footprint directly at our locations: we always strive for sustainable and climate-friendly solution. ♻ We have already been able to improve many things, such as reducing our CO2 footprint by modernising our facilities, sourcing green electricity, or reducing the weight of our packaging. 🚮🌎 Today's Global Recycling Day reminds us once again that each and every one of us can and must make a contribution to environmental protection and sustainability. Recycling is particularly important in the beverage industry because recycling PET bottles is an important driver for sustainable resource use. 🧃 We at Eckes-Granini have supported two very special initiatives to promote sustainable packaging even further. 💪 ♻ The RecycleMich initiative in Austria aims to encourage people to dispose of waste correctly by rewarding them with small gifts after a certain number of correct disposals. The RecycleMe reward system works via an app that counts the number of bottles disposed of correctly. This raises people's awareness of how to dispose of waste correctly. 🎨👏 By sponsoring the Tetra Pak school competition "The Carton Match” through God Morgon, Rynkeby Foods A/S and Marli Juice, we want to make even the youngest children aware of recycling. The competition is in its 12th year and has so far engaged more than 320,000 school children from Sweden, Denmark and Finland. It includes various activities on the subject, our goal was to raise awareness of the importance of recycling among at least 100 people. Initiatives like these show that resource-conscious behavior can and must be learned. However, quality is not only created in terms of products and flavour, but also starts in the company structures. 💥 🌟 Quality Matters! That’s why at Eckes-Granini, we have set out to promote quality in all areas.  For us, quality in an overall context means achieving synergy effects through cooperation, avoiding duplication of work, strengthening group-wide collaboration and, last but not least, working more efficiently. 🎯 The kick-off event for our long-term quality management was a workshop with the QA leaders from almost all countries. This will now be followed by quarterly Quality Leadership workshops, where we want to continue to drive forward and implement these ambitions in all countries, at international level and also at our headquarter in Nieder-Olm.
