Onlangs hadden we de kans om bij te dragen aan het Kennisevent op het Nationaal Dataportaal Wegverkeer (NDW) in Utrecht. 🚗 De focus lag op de toekomst van mobiliteit en de potentiële kansen die ontstaan door het gebruik van AI en door nieuwe ontwikkelingen in het verzamelen van mobiliteitsgegevens. We vinden het leuk, dat we op deze dag het een en ander konden bijdragen. 💡 Thorsten Sickenberger initieerde een discussie over het belang van capaciteitsmanagement in de spoorweginfrastructuur in de sessie met Ruud van den Dries (NDW) en Arjan Olsthoorn (ProRail). Gedurende deze discussie hebben we met de groep onze inzichten in bepaalde benaderingen gedeeld en geavanceerde methoden voorgesteld, om complexe problemen van spoor- en transportnetwerken op te lossen. 💡 In samenwerking met Ydo de Vries en Teun Kok van NDW gaf onze collega Phillip Yao-Lakaschus een workshop over AI. Hij introduceerde het concept achter MLOps, benadrukte het belang van de gehele ML-ontwikkelcyclus voor succesvolle implementaties en gaf hands-on advies voor een verkeersgerelateerde ML use case. 💡 Als partner binnen de NDW Data Science Society (NDSS) droegen we ook bij met een marktkraam op de kennisbeurs van het evenement. Onze collega's, waaronder Christian Van Enckevort en Sebastian S. gaven een overzicht van onze analytische en technologische expertise en deelden inzichten in onze uitgebreide projectervaring in de verkeerssector. Hartelijk dank aan NDW voor het organiseren van dit kennisevenement en aan alle deelnemers voor het delen van toekomstrelevante kennis en voor de levendige discussies. ----- The future of mobility and the opportunities arising from AI and new developments in the collection of mobility data were the focus of the Kennisevent in Utrecht at the Nationaal Dataportaal Wegverkeer. 🚗  Our colleagues contributed in various ways throughout the day:  💡 Thorsten Sickenberger discussed with Ruud van den Dries (NDW) and Arjan Olsthoorn (ProRail) the importance of capacity management in rail infrastructure. He shared insights into approaches and methods on how to manage the complexity of rail and transportation networks. 💡 In collaboration with Ydo de Vries and Teun Kok from NDW, Phillip Yao-Lakaschus conducted a workshop on AI magic. He introduced MLOps, emphasized the significance of the entire ML development cycle for successful implementations and gave hands-on experience for a traffic-related ML use case. 💡 As a partner within the NDW Data Science Society (NDSS), we also contributed with a booth at the event's knowledge fair. Christian Van Enckevort and Sebastian S. provided an overview of our analytical and technological expertise and shared insights into our extensive project experience in the traffic sector. The Basel Committee recently launched a consultation on new guidelines for Counterparty Credit Risk (CCR) management. Is your institution prepared?   CCR is driven both by changing market values of derivative and SFT transactions, and declining creditworthiness of counterparties, posing a complex risk management challenge.   The Basel guidelines therefore request institutions to base their CCR management on a solid foundation of capabilities and dedicated processes – from the onboarding of new counterparties, through regular monitoring to efficient closeout management.   Besides advanced modelling aspects such as Wrong Way Risk, the use of credit mitigation techniques and robust processes, the guidelines put an emphasis on solid IT infrastructure and data management to allow reliable analytics, controlling and reporting.   We see the supervisory focus on CCR growing, since many competent authorities have addressed the topic lately, perhaps the most prominent example being ECB with their “Sound Practices in CRR Governance and Management” from last year.   To understand the impact of the new Basel guidelines on CCR management in your institution, please contact our experts. Im Juni lud unser „d-fine Austria Women's Day“ in unser Wiener Office ein. In kleiner, exklusiver Runde erhielten die Teilnehmerinnen authentische Einblicke in den Berufsalltag bei d-fine. Moderiert von unseren Kolleginnen Carina Hörandtner, Katrin Vybiral und Michaela B., gab es viel Raum für offenen Austausch und Fragen.
