Take off the lids before throwing the jars in the glass container. The lids should go in the recycling container. In principle, modern glass processing plants can sort out these closures and subsequently recycle them, but this also requires higher energy consumption. Therefore, it is better to separate them beforehand. If in doubt, however, it is better to leave the lids on the waste glass when disposing of it instead of placing them next to or on top of the glass container. From there, they surely will not be recycled, but they will pollute the environment. We think #recycling is very important.
