    💡 Startups are not built by their founders alone - they have to assemble the right #team to make their vision a reality. Sounds like a platitude, right? Interestingly, many founders cite this "people" dimension of high-growth startups as the one factor that they have underestimated the most - in comparison to sales, product development, or fundraising. One reason might be that hiring, onboarding and leadership processes are rather soft topics without immediate value-add that end up getting deprioritized over and over again. To tackle this mismatch, we asked three founders to share their own best practices that make the "soft" people topics much more tangible.     IT'S PEAK HIRING SEASON - but is it really...and when exactly? In #recruiting departments all over the world the end of August marks the beginning of crunch time. Hiring targets towards the end of the year need to be reached and the madness takes off 🤯 Anecdotal evidence aside, we went looking for numbers and came across the LinkedIn Economic Graph (also known as the LinkedIn Hiring Rate) - pretty nifty tool 🤓 In short it represents what portion of the network's active users add a new, current employer on their profile within a given month. The indicator is normalized to a base year (in this case 2016). The graph shown represents the hiring rate for Germany. It can be seen that indeed October (November in parts) and January are the months of the year with the highest LinkedIn Hiring Rate 📈 Have your hiring efforts worked out as planned so far?
