It is our pleasure to present the Oikos Group's second sustainability report!   Following the publication of our first sustainability report last year, this year we have placed particular emphasis on a KPI audit. This audit serves as targeted preparation for the upcoming reporting obligations in accordance with the CSRD.   As a manufacturer of prefabricated timber frame houses, sustainability has always been a central component of our corporate values. Our focus is not only on short-term success, but also on creating a sustainable future. By investing in efficient heating systems and photovoltaic systems, we have once again been able to reduce CO2 emissions per house produced.   For us, sustainability not only encompasses environmental aspects, but also social commitment to our employees. This is reflected, among other things, in our low staff turnover rate. We are proud to be able to count on long-serving employees and to promote the training and further education of young people.

Wood is the material of the future! The German wood industry has launched the "Wood saves the climate" initiative, which is supported by 15 trade associations under the leadership of the German Wood Industry Council (DHWR), including the Federal Association of German Prefabricated Construction (Bundesverband Deutscher Fertigbau e.V.). Around 70,000 companies with 650,000 employees support the promotion of wood as a sustainable natural resource and emphasize its importance for climate and job protection. As part of our commitment to sustainability and environmental awareness, the Oikos Group also supports this initiative. We are aware of the important role that wood plays in the construction industry, as it is not only a building material but also a key element in climate protection. In supporting "Wood saves the climate", we want to raise public awareness of the benefits of wood. The campaign has been launched on social media using the hashtag #holzrettetklima. Germany is missing its targets for new housing construction. This leads to massive impacts for the public, such as rising rents. For this reason, 40 CEOs of the leading construction companies in Germany, including the Oikos Group, are now appealing to the federal states to make a contribution and suspend the real estate transfer tax starting in January 2024. This measure could reduce construction costs for potential house builders.
