AI algorithms in healthcare often perform well in controlled environments but struggle when dealing with real world variation. Foundation models are rapidly changing this paradigm and increasing the generalizability performance on downstream tasks without the need for larger labeled training datasets. Variation across scanners is a major challenge when developing digital pathology algorithms for the real world. To test scanner invariance of our foundation model (RudolfV), we evaluated a carcinoma-detection task across four common scanner types. Utilizing RudolfV showed that the representations of our model were robust across all scanner types. Ensuring robustness across scanner types can be extremely challenging without foundation models and provides just one example of how these models are rapidly accelerating the field of digital pathology. Aignostics has launched an updated version of our industry-leading foundation model for histopathology, RudolfV. We’ve tested RudolfV on additional benchmarks and against newly published models, and are thrilled to share that it continues to achieve the highest average accuracy across public benchmarks when direct comparison is possible. Yesterday was organized the "gathering of the greatest French AI talents" at Palais de l'Élysée. The meeting followed the publication of the AI report about French ambition for IA. It was the opportunity to discuss the AI environment in France its strengths and how to make it even better in the following years and prepare for AI Summit Paris 2024. I was lucky and honored to be invited by the President of the Republic to participate in this event with the French AI community. We had inspiring discussions around talents, infrastructure, financement, sovereignty, and governance, to establish France and Europe as one of the leaders of AI. Great to participate as an Aignostics representant and to meet so many interesting people and some old friends from the french vibrant AI community in this very special place. ---- Hier était organisé le "rassemblement des plus grands talents français de l'intelligence artificielle" au Palais de l'Élysée. Ce meetting faisait suite à la publication du "rapport IA" sur l'ambition française en matière d'IA et a été l'occasion de discuter de l'environnement de l'IA en France, de ses points forts et de la manière de l'améliorer encore dans les années à venir et de préparer le Sommet de l'IA Paris 2024. J'ai eu la chance et l'honneur d'être invité par le Président de la République à participer à cet événement avec la communauté francaise de l'IA.
