He has led several key projects, particularly in the automotive and manufacturing industries, requiring cross-market coordination between the Czech Republic, Germany, and Austria. He has also been instrumental in the development of Drees & Sommer's key services on the Czech market, including project management, technical due diligence, cost management, quality and schedule control, sustainability consulting, LEAN management, BIM management, and design. This spring, Markus was appointed to the position of Managing Director with the main responsibility for clients from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. His other focus is ESG consulting, especially in the area of energy optimization.   He is joining Zdenek Kovar, CEO for the Czech Republic, who manages the company's current business activities and expansion in the Czech market. The challenging 4×5 km course brought together over 1,000 runners, creating an amazing atmosphere as colleagues cheered each other on at almost every corner. But it wasn’t just about the race – our run also had a positive impact. By participating, we supported the local NGO Nadace Partnerství, dedicated to sustainable environmental projects. Our efforts contributed to tree planting endeavors 🌲 across the Czech Republic. The event, organized by AFI - Association for Foreign Investment in cooperation with Prague Airport and CzechInvest, was a great opportunity to share best practices in the field.  Discussions covered critical areas such as airport infrastructure, mobile operators, financial and legal services, as well as successful participation of the Czech Republic in the largest international cybersecurity exercise this year. We also delved into the implications of the new European Directive NIS2, ensuring legal compliance for the Czech market.  🚀 As digitalization drives our activities at Drees & Sommer, we recognize that cybersecurity is paramount.
