In essence, our challenges act as the entry point to our unique venture building programme, identifying and addressing real-world problems, while the venture building programme takes these solutions to the next level by providing the necessary resources, support, and guidance to turn them into successful, market-ready ventures.
The challenge areas are carefully chosen to broadly align with industry needs and have been informed by dialogue with our partners and the National Cyber Security Centre problem book. This ensures that the programme is finely tuned to address specific challenges identified by key stakeholders in the cybersecurity landscape.
We bring the best ideas and their creators onto our unique venture building programme, supporting the rapid development of new, innovative solutions. Through this, we assist in taking these ground-breaking solutions to market, ensuring their real-world impact and tangible, impactful solutions within the cybersecurity landscape.
Build your team
You may have a great idea but lack the expertise to take it to market. We find the best talent and build a team around you. Including commercial expertise, product development, or coding skills. That way, there is a strong balance from a tech, cyber and commercial skillset to help create a viable company and attract investment in just 12 months.
You will all receive a £1500 monthly stipend and access to physical space – allowing you and your team to immerse yourselves in the entrepreneurial journey without the financial constraints. Together you will take the spark of a concept to a fully-fledged commercial venture within 12 months, that could grow and scale across the world.
Beyond financial support, we actively facilitate connections with investors, giving you the opportunity to showcase your venture to potential funders.
Our world-class testbeds representative of smart cities, manufacturing systems, connected vehicles and large-scale virtualised IT networks support product development and validation. Through our links with Airbus, Thales and CGI, we help you test the market demand for your solution and take it to market, increasing your chances of success.

We’ll put you on our unique venture building programme to help you build your business model. We’ll partner you with world-leading researchers and industry partners to ensure your solution is at the cutting edge of the market. We’ll help you validate your solution in realistic scenarios. We’ll even help you get in front of investors.
You don’t have to be a cyber expert to join our programme. We need people with commercial, product, and/or software development support to be part of the venture-building programme. Your skills will create the venture around the cyber idea – building commerciality and driving success.
