bbPress je záměrně jednoduchý, ale nekonečně výkonný software pro fóra, vytvořený přispěvateli do WordPress.

Instalace
Z hlavního panelu Vašeho WordPressu
- Návštívit ‚Doplňky > Přidat nový‘
- Hledat „bbPress“
- Aktivujte bbPress ze stránky vašich doplňků. (Budete přivítáni Uvítací stránkou.)
Z WordPress.org
- Stáhnout bbPress.
- Nahrajte „bbpress“ složku do vaší „/wp-content/plugins/“ složky, s použitím vaší oblíbené metody (FTP, SFTP, SCP apod.)
- Aktivujte bbPress ze stránky vašich doplňků. (Budete přivítáni Uvítací stránkou.)
Jednou aktivován.
- Navštivte 'Fóra> Přidat nové' a vytvořte některá fóra. (Tyto můžete kdykoli později smazat.)
- Pokud máte povoleny hezké trvalé odkazy, navštivte stránku example.com/forums/, nebo pokud nemáte povoleny hezké trvalé odkazy, navštivte example.com?post_type=forum
- Navštivte ‚nastavení > Fóra‘ a nakonfigurujte nastavení tak, aby co nejlépe odpovídalo potřebám vaší komunity.
- Navštivte ‚Tools > Forums > Import Forums‘ pokud máte existující fórum na převod do bbPressu.
Jednou konfigurován.
- bbPress je dodáván s robustním rozhraním API kompatibilním s tématy, které dělá vše pro to, aby bbPress vypadal a vypadal dobře téměř s jakýmkoli tématem WordPress. Možná budete muset upravit svůj vlastní styl, aby vše vypadalo nedotčeně.
- Možná budete chtít přizpůsobit toky registrace / aktivace / přihlášení / ztraceného hesla, aby lépe vyhovovaly vašemu webu. bbPress přichází s množstvím krátkých kódů, které to umožňují, uvedené zde: https://codex.bbpress.org/shortcodes/
- bbPress také přichází s integrovanou podporou pro Akismet a BuddyPress, dva velmi populární a velmi výkonné pluginy WordPress. Pokud některý z nich používáte, přejděte na stránku Nastavení fóra a zkontrolujte, zda se integrace jeví jako správná.

Just use the miriad of forum software that’s still being maintained out there. This hasn’t been touched in 2 years. If automatic don’t bother updating it why would I bother installing it?
and don’t tell me the software is already perfect cos it barely works if the planets align.

I tried out several forums and bbPress was the only one that worked for me. I can’t remember what I was trying to do at the time, but maybe I was trying to delete users and not get error messages from the forum plugin. bbPress worked without problems.
I did have to do some work to make the forum look nicer in appearance. But after that bbPress works perfectly.

I haven’t installed this but I am a user of a forum using this plugin and it’s terrible! I don’t know what part are the rules set up by the admin and what are just bugs. I’ve complained to the admins without results so I post my issues here.
It does not allow external images, sometimes! Sometimes it does?!
The upload function for images is buggy as heck
Spend too long composing a message and the post fails
Edit a message and while it goes through, it deletes the message!
The main problems with the above is that every problem, every issue means the message I mean to post gets DELETED and there are no warnings! It is destroyed and never seen again!
I don’t like not being able to use external image links, but I can live with it. What I can’t live with is the capricious nature of the software and that my messages are so easily deleted. Since this forum has foregone simple forum submits and uses ajax instead, the browser itself can never save the message which on older forums meant you could backspace and save your message. This does not work here. If your post has an error or violation of some kind you are not sent back to the editor, THE POST IS DELETED !
Same thing if I edit a post, if I accidentially did something the forum software didn’t like it again DELETES THE POST! And you get no warnings, you just press the submit button and everything is gone.

After 2 years without any update, no programmer in the world can convince me that everything is great and in perfect order! Because now the plugin spits out some forum content at a URL that is supposed to generate a 404 error! what the …I have uninstalled the plugin today and I can only hope that it has not left too much garbage data behind, as I have read in other comments.If anyone knows of a better alternative, please let me know.
