Our project, City of Time, is part of the Migratory Birds 300 program at the 2024 Aranya Theatre Festival. This festival brings together designers, actors, and writers from over 15 countries. The City of Time is installation which invites 300 artists to live, interact, and create within our sand city for 300 hours. . After 300 hours, the festival disassembles the temporary city’s infrastructure to restore the site to its original state. Our design for the 2023 City of Time was a singular, enclosed community. For 2024, the design has evolved to include a road with independent settlements spread along its path. #MADArchitects #MaYansong #AranyaFestival #MigratoryBirds300 #CityofTime #Aranya

We’re excited to unveil the completion of our ZGC International Innovation Center. The center spans 65,000 square meters and features a distinctive clover-like shape with a cantilevered roof that provides both shade and shelter. The 17,000 square meter green roof park merges with the nearby gardens and hills, rendering the building almost invisible from a distance. We designed the façade with large glass panels and smooth curves to facilitate a seamless transition between indoor and outdoor spaces. Inside, we aimed for simplicity and openness. The interior features clean lines and ample natural light from two expansive skylights, creating an inviting atmosphere. The main venue, banquet hall, multi-function hall, and smaller meeting rooms are all designed to inspire creativity and collaboration. We paid special attention to the user experience, incorporating adjustable color temperature lights that move along the building’s curves, converging in a central luminary sculpture. This creates a unique, environment that encourages social interaction and engagement. At night, synchronized lights on the roof create a mesmerizing effect, integrating the building with the city’s vibrant landscape. #MADarchitects #MaYansong #ZGCInnovationCenter #Beijing #Architecture

Our "Jiaxing Train Station" were shortlisted for Architizer A+ Award in the "Sustainable Communication and Transportation" category. The Jiaxing Train Station design is aimed to revolutionize train stations in China by prioritizing a harmonious relationship between nature and transportation. Our founder Ma Yansong, envisioned a station that moved beyond the typical "grand, monumental architecture" by creating a "train station in the forest." This was achieved by building a new station underground, allowing for a park to flourish at ground level. This integration creates a more human-scaled and environmentally friendly transportation hub.
