Oct 16, 2023 at 21:13 comment added Karl What makes it actually bad is imo the high viscosity of conc. H2SO4. Water around a drop of H2SO4 immediately has an onset of turbulent convection, distributing the heat. A drop on water in H2SO4 just sits there for half a second until it boils in itself.
