Apparel Developer / Industrial Pattern Maker (m/f/x)

Carhartt WIP is part of the WIP Trading AG. Our family-owned business group started as a licensee and European distributor of the US workwear manufacturer Carhartt in the early 1990s. Since then, it develops its own collections based on workwear originals.

Carhartt Work in Progress aims to continuously progress and evolve, without ever losing sight of its origins. Over the course of the past two decades, our business has developed organically, along with its customers, the culture that surrounds the brand, and its employees who have helped shape what Carhartt WIP is today.

We are looking for you to join our headquarter in Basel as soon as possible as Apparel Developer / Industrial Pattern Maker (m/f/x).

Your Responsibilities:

• Interpreting designer sketches and based on Product Manager comments supplying Tech Packs (including measurements, grading and fabric specifications)
• Entering and updating data in the various computer systems (YPLM & Navision)
• Managing sample requests and the sample inventory
• Samples reporting to suppliers (measurements, fits and workmanships issues)
• Updating the YPLM operating instructions
• Attending collection meetings and taking part in product presentations

Your Profile:

• Entrepreneurial, proactive, flexible, able to work independently but team spirit and results oriented
• Attention to details and good product sensibility
• Strong pattern knowledge, graduation rules, sewing sections skills and fabric properties preferably with experience with sewing factories
• Close communication and reporting to the Team Leader
• Knowledge in pattern-making software (e.g. Gerber Accumark, Lectra Modaris Expert)
• Well organized and hands-on working attitude with a flexible and open mind for new solutions
• Fluent in English and French, German is a plus (every further language is warmly welcomed)
