Nestlé's Human Rights Reporting: For an Integrated Approach
Nestlé
This year we have put a lot of efforts and resources to align our human rights reporting with the UNGP Reporting Framework that we used both as a report and management tool to:
> Improve the way we report on human rights, in particular in areas like policy commitments and governance;
> Further align our Human Rights Due Diligence Programme and reporting efforts with international standards, and in particular with the UNGPs; and

> Improve the way we report on human rights, in particular in areas like policy commitments and governance;
> Further align our Human Rights Due Diligence Programme and reporting efforts with international standards, and in particular with the UNGPs; and
> Identify 11 salient human rights issues that have now become priorities for the company and will lead to dedicated action plans being developed by the relevant functions, and implemented in country operations (see our new corporate commitment on this).
The 2015 Report has been externally verified by Bureau Veritas and prepared in accordance with comprehensive GRI G4 guidelines, making this Nestlé’s second G4 report.
In addition, we have developed a dedicated index that will help you see how the Report aligns with the UNGP Reporting Framework indicators: http://storage.nestle.com/nestle-society-full-2015/index.html#388-389. I’m pleased to report that the new information and data contained in this Report has now been reviewed by Shift and has been uploaded on the UNGPRF database (select “Nestlé 2015"): http://www.ungpreporting.org/reportingdatabase/explore-disclosures/.
We are confident that the structure and content of our 2015 Report will also help us meet the indicators of the new Corporate Human Rights Benchmark. We will continue to use these different reporting frameworks to further improve our overall human rights performance in the future. -
