Selected for their competence and their international experience, the 'Conseillers du Commerce extérieur de la France' (CCE - French Foreign Trade Advisor) are appointed for three years through a prime ministerial decree, on the recommendations of the Minister for Foreign Trade. For more than 115 years, on a voluntary basis, they have been placing their experience at the service of France's economic presence around the world.
As executives and company directors, established internationally, they have daily experience of dealing with the opportunities and risks of the world's markets and they have extensive, hands-on, concrete and very practical information to share. CCEs organise regional colloquiums, conferences and symposiums, normally in partnership with the main institutional stakeholders (regional economic services, Business France, French chambers of commerce abroad, economic advisory units within embassies, etc.) These exchanges enable CCEs and economic decision-makers (French and international) to compare and share their experiences and their analyses. Gawad Kalinga,” translated in English means to “give care”, is a Philippine-based movement that aims to end poverty by first restoring the dignity of the poor. It employs an integrated and holistic approach to empowerment  with values-formation and leadership development at its core. Established in 2003, The Foundation currently works with over 2,000 communities and has been recognized as the 2006 Ramon Magsaysay Awardee & 2012 Skoll Awardee for Social Entrepreneurship.

It employs an integrated and holistic approach to empowerment  with values-formation and leadership development at its core. Established in 2003, The Foundation currently works with over 2,000 communities and has been recognized as the 2006 Ramon Magsaysay Awardee & 2012 Skoll Awardee for Social Entrepreneurship.
As part of the Microsoft Frontlines program, I spent a week in immersion with Gawad Kalinga in Manila, visiting some of their housing projects and meeting with people in their communities. Very concretely, I worked with the Gawad Kalinga leadership team to help them rethinking their internal processes to improve the general efficiency of their NGO in particular to manage the influx of volunteers & support towards the most needy beneficiaries. After the immersion week, we did follow up on the implementation of the new processes to make sure the project was yielding the full expected impact. A very humbling & inspiring experience. As the One Commercial Partner Lead for Microsoft in Asia-Pacific, I decided to invest in a long-lasting partnership with PN across their 3 countries, providing support for business soft skills coaching, technical hackfests, developing a student CRM system & facilitating access to our large base of partners for internships & jobs.
