Say hi to Guillaume Neven, Transcality's deep learning specialist. 👋 💻 🧠 After three years of collaboration, a new chapter starts for us. In collaboration with Mitacs and the City of Toronto (Raphael Dumas), we co-fund his PhD in Montréal (supervised by Lijun Sun at McGill University and Nicolas Saunier at Polytechnique Montréal). He will be developing large-scale probabilistic travel time estimations! By forming a bridge between us, academia, and stakeholders, we will better understand key traffic challenges while applying state-of-the-art methods. We are thrilled to work with him and give back to the academic world. 🎊

The second post within a week? Yes! We wanted to celebrate our double win at Intertraffic! 🏆🏆 On top of the pitching competition, we also conquered the SWARCO ITSUP challenge together with SMATS Traffic Solutions Inc. We won a 6-month acceleration program - the chance to combine the agility of two startups with the capabilities of an ITS leader to test and refine our innovative approaches. 🚗 We are excited and look forward to this opportunity. We first crossed paths with Henri when he wrote his master thesis with us. Henri wowed us with his implementation of innovative simulation methods and his grasp of state-of-the-art cycling models 🚴♂️ Naturally, we had to bring him on board 🚢 Now holding an MSc in Civil Engineering with a specialization in transportation from ETH Zürich, Henri is our expert in multimodal transportation modeling. He understands the intricate and future-oriented needs of our customers and ensures that they receive top-notch simulation insights promptly and with quality🏅 Henri, a warm welcome to our team – we're thrilled to have you on board! 🚀

🚗💡 Neues Projekt zur effizienten Verkehrsplanung! 💡🚗   Wir freuen uns darüber, dass wir Ende letzten Jahres den Zuschlag zu unserem ersten Forschungsprojekt AUFGEHTS bekommen haben! Darin entwickeln wir zusammen mit dem Lehrstuhl für Verkehrstechnik der TU München (TUM - Chair of Traffic Engineering and Control) ein automatisiertes Verfahren für die Erstellung und Kalibrierung von Verkehrssimulationen, basierend auf Floating-Car-Daten und innovativen Methoden zur Datenauswertung. Letzendlich verfolgen wir dadurch unsere Vision, die Entscheidungsgrundlagen für Verkehrsinfrastrukturprojekte weiter zu verbessern.
