𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐁𝐨𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐀𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 ⭐️ We are delighted to announce the appointment of our Founding Member, Niki Fotiou, as a Board member and Chairwoman of the Audit Committee of snappi. snappi received its universal banking license, which is the first milestone in the bank's plans to provide next generation financial services. Niki currently serves as Chief Financial Officer of Heidmar Inc., a global leader in crude oil and refined petroleum marine transportation services. She also serves as a Board member and Chairwoman of the Audit Committee of the Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund (HRADF/ TAIPED), as well as Orilina Properties REIC. Niki's corporate experience in US listed shipping and offshore drilling companies and her Big 4 experience in auditing as well as her business acumen and wide skillset will be a valuable asset for snappi. Commenting on her appointment, Niki Fotiou said: "I am honored and beyond excited to be a part of this innovative project. I look forward to collaborating with all the esteemed Board members in order to contribute to the growth and development of snappi". Last week, we had the privilege of hosting an exclusive workshop at our Clubhouse in #Athens with the exceptional Roderic Yapp, Module 5 Course Leader of the Boardroom, who guided our members through the complexities of decision-making in leadership roles. During this session, we delved into what constitutes great leadership, emphasizing the critical ability to make sound decisions based on imperfect information. In particular, our members: 🔹Tackled real-world challenges that leaders often face in organizational settings. 🔹Participated in a simulation where they advised the CEO of a racing team under immense pressure due to an impending deadline. 🔹Had to navigate conflicting technical advice, varying levels of technical sophistication, and personal biases from experts. This hands-on approach not only highlighted the difficulties leaders face in decision-making but also underscored the importance of strategic thinking and collaborative problem-solving in high-pressure environments. The panel discussion was expertly moderated by the Boardroom UK, Libby Vincent. During this insightful panel discussion, our PE experts shared valuable insights into the world of Private Equity, covering topics such as investment criteria, acquisitions, the role of the board, and recruitment from the perspective of some of the most powerful women in PE.
