🎉 And the journey continues... Today, SHL Medical celebrates a major milestone in our global expansion journey with the groundbreaking ceremony for our new site in Taoyuan, Taiwan! In collaboration with Great Honor Asset Management, this event demonstrates our commitment to leading the future of self-injection solutions. The new site, with a total of 47,000 sqm, will house elements of our core manufacturing capabilities, including molding, automation, tooling, and assembly. Happening now. ✨ Senior testing engineer Paolo S. Ravaynia, PhD is presenting at the European Society of Biomechanics 2024 in Edinburgh! His poster discusses the data on an autoinjector test model developed by SHL that utilizes silicone material as reference to the human body tissue.   SHL Medical’s role in supporting the treatment of cardiometabolic diseases such as hyperlipidemia, type 2 diabetes, and obesity is especially prevalent today, reaching 1.6 million patients within the last decade.   🔬 To ensure our autoinjectors offer the upmost self-injection experience, our test models was developed to the closest resemblance to real-world situations. 📊 In his poster, Dr. Ravaynia explains how silicone materials with differing stiffness provide better testing solutions for autoinjector functional analysis, as opposed to rigid plate materials suggested by ISO standards.   There’s still time to catch him!
