#PortfolioCompanyNews ACE Green Recycling, Inc., in partnership with ACME Metal Enterprise, showcased its proprietary GreenLead™ process for lead battery recycling at ACME’s Taiwan facility. Around 30 key players from the lead industry, major trading houses, and engineering firms attended to learn more about this #InnovativeSolution. “This event is a testimony to the fact that Ace's clean battery recycling technology has already been deployed commercially and is ready to be scaled globally,” points out Akash Singh, Senior Investment Director at SAGANA. GreenLead™ technology represents a paradigm shift in lead recycling. Unlike the traditional furnace smelting, this process is hydrometallurgical and operates at room temperature. It is fully electrified and generates zero Scope 1 emissions. This stands in stark contrast to smelting methods that rely on high temperatures, fossil fuels, and necessitate extensive environmental controls. ACE Green Recycling, Inc. is an innovation-driven material recycling company providing environmentally friendly, end-of-life solutions for batteries. It is building a sustainable battery materials value chain and ensures that critical battery materials are kept within circular loops. ACE Green Recycling, Inc is a Sagana portfolio company. Our partners ACME Metal Enterprise and ourselves had the distinct pleasure and privilege to have hosted around 30 visitors from the lead industry, major trading houses, and engineering firms at ACME’s facility in Taiwan utilizing our proprietary GreenLead™ process to recycle lead batteries. Our technology completely replaces the smelting stage of lead recycling with a room temperature hydrometallurgical process which is fully electrified and produces zero Scope 1 emissions. This is in stark contrast to conventional furnace smelting that involves high temperatures, uses copious fossil fuels, and creates fumes and dust that must be captured in baghouses to avoid it being emitted to the environment. We would especially like to extend our thanks to our gracious host and partner, ACME Metal Enterprise for opening their doors and allowing us to showcase our technology to the wider industry. Together, we aim to set a new benchmark in lead recycling and serve as an example of sustainability in the global electrification journey.
