An engraving of the Quai de l'Horloge, the birthplace of the Breguet brand, decorates the back of the new Classique Double Tourbillon. The House’s artisan engravers have acquired an extraordinary ability to respect the brand's artistic aesthetic, while retaining their personal touch, an essential asset in all craftsmanship. On the occasion of the release of the film "Le Comte de Monte Cristo", directors Matthieu Delaporte and Alexandre De La Patellière explain the importance of the sea and the marine theme, a key narrative arc of the story. The House of Breguet, a partner of the movie, lent two timepieces for the film's production, including an authentic Marine chronometer. In its atelier dedicated to guilloché work, Breguet has created an entirely new pattern for the new Classique Double Tourbillon "Quai de l’Horloge" 5345: radiant flinqué, a motif visually reminiscent of regular sound waves. The Tourbillon was not only one of Breguet’s most famous inventions but also one of the most difficult to realize. According to the archives, 35 examples were sold between 1805 and 1823.
