At mimic we are proud to be part of the vibrant Swiss AI ecosystem, developing foundation models for humanoid robotic hands. Great to see our co-founder Stephan-Daniel Gravert at the roundtable with Federal Councillor #GuyParmelin and 16 representatives of the Swiss startup ecosystem at startup days. The topic of this session was how Switzerland can ensure that local AI startups play a leading role worldwide. Thanks for inviting us, Dominik Isler and startup days and looking forward to the next session!
How can Switzerland ensure that local #AI startups play a leading role worldwide? A question that 16 representatives of the Swiss startup ecosystem discussed with Federal Councillor Guy Parmelin at #SUD24. Key takeaway: AI offers new opportunities. #Switzerland, if it does its homework quickly and convincingly now, is well-equipped as a #DeepTech nation to continue its role as a global innovation leader. It was an honour to have had #GuyParmelin for a roundtable at last week's startup days. 🙌🏼 Thank you to the representatives who participated and shared their thoughts: Dominik Isler, Roger Wüthrich-Hasenböhler, Pascale Vonmont, Alex Ilic, Adam Said, Thomas Dübendorfer, Stefan Kyora, Hugo Flayac, Damir Bogdan, Melanie Gabriel, Rita Sevastjanova, Cristina Rossi, Stephan-Daniel Gravert, Raphael Tobler, Christian Wenger, Joanne Sieber, Annalise Eggimann, Paloma Bosco, Roland Siegwart

Check out our latest work: Getting the Ball Rolling!
Babies take months to learn how to use their hands. How can we make our tendon-driven hand do the same, but in an hour? Find out in our latest project- we have applied reinforcement learning to train a dexterous sphere rotation policy for our biomimetic robotic hand, the Faive Hand (faive robotics). See how we introduced the tendon-driven hand with rolling contact joints into the IsaacGym simulator to achieve dexterous motion.
