Posterior fixation surgery with less radiation dose and a high level of accuracy: A recent retrospective study conducted by MD PhD Tetsuhiro Ishikawa et al. evaluated the reduction of radiation dose and exposure during lumbar interbody fusion surgery with a patient-specific 3D template guide, compared to the traditional minimally invasive approach. The results underscore that patient-specific drill template guide is an invaluable tool to enhance surgical efficiency and safety, as it facilitates the safe insertion of cortical bone trajectory (CBT) screws with a low radiation dose from the outset. Here are some highlights from the study: ☑️ Radiation exposure & dose: 79.0% reduction in radiation exposure and 80.2% decrease in radiation dose. ☑️ Surgical Time: 22.0% reduction in surgical time compared to traditional methods. ☑️ Surgeon Safety: surgeons were exposed to significantly lower levels of radiation. ☑️ Screw Placement: no instances of intraoperative screw replacement, and postoperative imaging confirmed precise screw placement in all cases. As Medacta’s portfolio expands and the M.O.R.E. Institute medical educational activities evolve, we are glad to announce the first international edition of the Hip Revision Learning Center, which took place on June 5 in Cremona, Italy. It was a great educational opportunity to exchange valuable experiences in the field of hip revision arthroplasty. During the scientific session on femoral and acetabular revision, participants deepened their knowledge through engaging presentations and case discussions. Afterward, during the wetlab session, surgeons had the chance to put their theoretical knowledge into practice with the support of the Faculty. Knee Learning Center!    During the years, we have welcomed surgeons from all over the world, allowing attendees to learn about our portfolio and techniques for knee replacement surgery.   The 300th Learning Center was held in Cremona, Italy, and gave participants the opportunity to delve into Kinematic Alignment (KA) and Medacta’s comprehensive KA platform, which includes a KA-optimized implant supported by dedicated instruments and technologies.   This milestone reflects the M.O.R.E. Institute's commitment to medical education, which is one of our cornerstones. The M.O.R.E.
