🌟 Vantaa HWP Pressure Test Successfully Achieved! 🌟 We are thrilled to announce that on June 26, 2024, our project team successfully conducted the pressure test of the boiler at the High-Temperature Incineration Plant in Vantaa, Finland. This facility, featuring a rotary kiln and secondary combustion chamber, is being built for our valued customer Vantaan Energia Oy, with HZI leading the construction of the firing and heat boiler lot. The pressure test reached 50 bar in the afternoon, and after a 30-minute holding time, it was reduced to the operating pressure of 22.5 bar. The successful check confirmed the tightness and perfect condition of the boiler and pressure system. A big thank you to everyone who made this achievement possible and continues to drive our project toward successful completion! #ProjectMilestone #HazardousWaste #VantaanEnergia #HZI #EngineeringExcellence #Sustainability #RenewableEnergy #TeamSuccess

🇦🇪 Abu Dhabi Goes Green with HZI’s Ultra-Large Waste to Energy Facility We are thrilled to announce that the financial close inclusive of Notice-to-Proceed for the EPC of a groundbreaking project in Abu Dhabi was obtained on 28th of June 2024. The consortium led by Marubeni Corporation, including Hitachi Zosen Inova (HZI) and the Japan Overseas Infrastructure Investment Corporation for Transport & Urban Development (JOIN), which had been selected to design, build, and operate the world's most advanced Waste to Energy (WtE) facility on behalf of Emirates Water & Electricity Company (EWEC) and Tadweer Group, has achieved financial close and provided the consortium formed by Hitachi Zosen Inova (HZI) and ALEC BUTEC with the Notice-to-Proceed of the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) works of this project. This plant, located near the Al-Dhafra landfill, marks a significant step towards the UAE's circular economy, processing 900,000 tonnes of non-recyclable waste annually and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 1.1 million tonnes each year. We look forward to collaborating with our partners and contributing to Abu Dhabi's sustainable future! #Sustainability #WasteToEnergy #CircularEconomy #AbuDhabi #RenewableEnergy #EWEC #Tadweer #Marubeni #HitachiZosenInova #JOIN #GreenTechnology

HZI to supply dry AD and gas upgrading unit for biogenic waste treatment in Grenoble (France) 🇫🇷 HZI is part of a consortium (with VINCI Construction Grands Projets and Spie batignolles) to supply a dry AD and gas upgrading unit for the treatment of biogenic waste at the Murianette site near Grenoble in France, for the client Grenoble-Alpes Métropole. What it means: - Transforming waste: the existing Centre de Compostage facility in Murianette, which has been producing compost for over 30 years, will now be converted into a dry AD plant using HZI’s proprietary Kompogas technology. - Sustainable energy: The facility will include a gas upgrading unit, which will produce over 600,000 Nm3/a of biomethane, a renewable energy source. - Circular economy: he facility will also generate some 4,000 tonnes of biofertiliser, a valuable resource for agriculture and the growing of crops for food. Key details: - Construction starts in 2025, with operations set to commence by end of 2027. - HZI will provide turnkey systems and O&M services for the entire plant for 3 years after the construction phase is completed. “The synergy of our individual expertise made a persuasive case in the tender,” comments Fabio Dinale, Executive VP Business Development at HZI, on the efforts put forward by the members of the consortium to win this project. #biomethane #circulareconomy #biofertiliser https://lnkd.in/ewR2s_B7

Unexpected journey, extraordinary results: HZI celebrates Earl's Gate WtX handover to the client, showcasing our commitment as a trusted partner.
The handover of Earl’s Gate WtX to the customer brings HZI to the conclusion of quite an unusual journey. While we are well-known for our ability to bring new projects to fruition, in this instance it was a very different achievement. Following the bankruptcy of the EPC in charge of construction and O&M, we were able to step in and see the project through to commissioning, even though the combustion technology is not originally from HZI. This story is a huge tribute to what our teams on the ground are capable of, and confirms our reputation as a trustful partner of choice in the waste thermal treatment infrastructure space. My congratulations and thanks go to the HZI project teams, in both our Plants and Service businesses, who have not only helped to ensure that further volumes of waste in Scotland are diverted from landfill, but also supported the original asset investors, now our partners, in bringing Earl’s Gate to the finish line. And all the time, contributing to our Vision of no wasted waste while driving decarbonisation, resource circularity and supply security for present and future generations. My thanks in particular for the contributions of Mourad Lakehel, Cedric Marichal, Edouard BARRET, Michael Gruber, Biagio Iannacone and the BEL EPC team as a whole.
