𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟭 𝗦𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘀 (𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗹 & 𝗭𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗵) + 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗵𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝗦𝘄𝗶𝘀𝘀-𝗝𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗲 🌟
Following the #SwissBiotechDay2024, the Japanese delegation embarked on another exciting day in Switzerland!
In the morning, the delegation had the privilege of visiting the Novartis Campus Basel, where they were treated to insightful presentations by Novartis, Basel Area Business & Innovation, the Innovation Office University of Basel and FatiAbGen Inc., followed by an illuminating campus tour. Later in the afternoon, the group journeyed to the Bio-technopark Schlieren-zürich, where they received a comprehensive introduction to life sciences in Switzerland and Zurich by co-founder and CEO Mario Jenni, followed by engaging presentations from park members the Universitätsspital Zürich, DINAMIQS, EraCal Therapeutics and Onconetix.
In the evening, the Swiss-Japanese Chamber of Commerce - SJCC hosted a special event in Zurich in collaboration with Takeda (Switzerland) and EY Switzerland. Moderated by Markus Thomas Schweizer of EY Switzerland, the event provided invaluable insights into the Swiss biotech market and healthcare system, Takeda’s success story in Switzerland, Interpharma’s vision for the pharma hub Switzerland 2030, and Switzerland Innovation’s life science ecosystems. Thomas Gfeller, CEO of Switzerland Innovation, introduced the organization as an ideal ecosystem partner for foreign pharma investors. The event also facilitated networking opportunities for the Japanese delegation with representatives from various cantons/areas and Japanese companies already established in Switzerland.
