Special Interest Groups (SIGs) are a new initiative in response to the diverse interests and needs of our 3`500+ members. SIGs are focused on subtopics and specialties across the financial industry with the following objectives:    📖 Professional Development: To facilitate continuous learning and skill enhancement in specialized areas of finance and investment. 🔗 Networking and Community Building: To create a platform for like-minded members to connect, share insights, and build professional relationships within specific areas of interest. 📚 Knowledge Sharing: To encourage the exchange of ideas, experiences, and best practices among members, enhancing the collective knowledge base of the group. 💡 Industry Insights and Trends: To stay abreast of the latest developments, innovations, and trends in specific sectors of finance and investment, and to disseminate this information among group members. Yesterday, CFA Society Switzerland, in close cooperation with von Rundstedt, had the great privilege of hosting a very insightful career event in Zurich for numerous senior financial professionals considering reorienting themselves in the financial services industry. The event, exclusive to members of CFA Society Switzerland, provided valuable tips & hints on how to successfully position themselves in the job market. Peter Zuercher, Customer Relationship Manager, von Rundstedt, shed light on the current situation in the labor market. These are the trends within the Financial Industry, which should be considered when making a career transition: 👉 Digital transformation which requires tech-savvy individuals 👉 Regulatory changes leading to a growing need for compliance, risk and legal experts 👉 Sustainable Finance making certifications such as CSR and ESG a key differentiator 👉 Client-centric services are in high demand and require strong interpersonal skills 👉 M&A is picking up again and therefore increase the demand for profiles with M&A experience, corporate finance and strategic planning A heartfelt thank you to all participants who came even from as far as Strasbourg and particularly to our esteemed speakers for sharing their expertise: Peter Zuercher, whose introduction to the labor market was followed by an engaging panel with himself as a panelist as well as with Caroline Knoeri, Head of HR, Vontobel, and Simon P. Gutknecht, Partner at Amrop, who shared their views on the financial industry from a workforce transformation, HR, and Executive Search perspective. A special thanks also to Selina Frei, Lead Branding & Recruiting, ZHAW, for her excellent moderation of the panel.

CFA Society Switzerland was recently invited by Giorgio Rafael Ryser of the University of St.Gallen Students` Business Club to present the CFA program, which can be started already during studies. Christoph Lang, CFA, Head Core Equities & Senior Equity Portfolio Manager at J. Safra Sarasin and member of CFA Society Switzerland, highlighted the importance of the CFA charter for his career and its relevance for a career in different functions in the asset management industry. Alina - Elena G. , Chair of the Candidates Committee at CFA Society Switzerland, explained the CFA program, its benefits and recent program updates. One of the participating students, Levente Miklos, HSG MBA student and volunteer at CFA Society Switzerland, answered questions from fellow students and shared his experience with the CFA program having finalized the three levels of the CFA program successfully.
