What's this role about?

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic MSP Sales Director to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and expanding our market presence within the managed service provider (MSP) sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales leadership, a deep understanding of the MSP industry, and a proven track record of achieving sales targets. Leading multiple teams of Account Executives, and Sales Managers, you will own the day-to-day execution of the sales plan. Your leadership development skills will support your team's Sales Managers in developing their own capabilities and careers. Your expertise in high-velocity, process-driven selling will lead the entire sales team to success and growth.

What will I be doing?

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing sales team, providing guidance, training, and support to drive success.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue and growth targets within the MSP sector.
  • The team you lead here at Auvik will directly impact the growth of our overall organization. You will coach your team to develop their skills, their careers, and inspire them to do the best work of their life. As the first escalation point for all MSP negotiations, you will be masterful in client engagement and impact how your team and their customers understand the value Auvik brings them.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, building strong relationships with potential clients and partners.
  • Collaborate with marketing, product, and customer success teams to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, providing regular reports and insights to senior leadership.
  • Stay current with industry trends and competitor activities, using this knowledge to inform sales strategies and tactics.
  • Represent Auvik at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote our solutions and build brand awareness.
  • Ongoing mentorship and development of a sales team which includes recruiting, hiring and training new Account Executives on sales process.
  • Conducting weekly forecast meetings. Coach direct reports regarding strategies to drive deals forward to close.
  • Consistently monitor the sales activity of the team and track the results. Create and execute new ways to improve sales performance.
  • Contribute to and execute Auvik's business strategies to meet sales targets and company goals
  • Develop and execute plans to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets and expand our customer base
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships

What are we looking for?

  • Several years of proven experience as a sales director or in a similar sales leadership position in a scale-up SAAS business; MSP is preferred.
  • Proven success in a process-driven, high-velocity sales environment
  • Track record of successfully leading and developing front-line sales managers
  • Ability to motivate and coach a team to exceed targets and implement performance based team culture - (awesome or bust)
  • Track record of success in constantly-changing, scale-up companies
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Natural tendency to collaborate and share information
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to perform dynamic web-based product demonstrations
  • Able to travel up to 25% of the time

  • Technical and business knowledge of IT networks
  • Experience with mixed direct/channel selling models

Compensation Details:

At Auvik, our compensation philosophy is to be market competitive, reward performance, reflect our commitment to equity and maintain transparency with our employees. We have defined job levels and compensation ranges for each of our markets we employ, based on research from various sources of market data, which are reviewed on a regular basis.

The hiring range for this position is listed below. Compensation offered for candidates in this role is based on a number of factors including job-related skills, knowledge, and experience. These factors may cause your compensation to vary within the range outlined below.

In addition to cash compensation, all full-time employees are granted stock options to share in Auvik's future successes. Auvik employees are eligible to participate in additional benefits and programs including our comprehensive health and dental benefits plan, Wellness spending account, GRSP matching program, flexible paid time off, paid parental leave program, and are eligible for remote working subsidies.

OTE Salary Range (Base + Target Incentive):

$172,000—$223,500 CAD
