Today I had the opportunity to attend the 2024 innovationIOWA event, an inspiring showcase of the state's thriving innovation ecosystem. Thanks to Des Moines Business Record for letting me register last minute. It's clear that Iowa's entrepreneurial spirit is more vibrant than ever, with advancements spanning industries from healthcare to manufacturing to education. The event highlighted the incredible work of innovators and entrepreneurs across the state. A special congratulations to On With Life and Wendy Wintersteen, president of Iowa State University on their well-deserved recognition as innovationLEADER and innovationENTREPRENEUR of the Year, respectively. Their commitment to pushing boundaries and making a real impact is truly inspiring. The panel discussion was the standout moment, providing valuable perspectives on the challenges and opportunities facing Iowa's entrepreneurial ecosystem. Hearing from Jon Darsee, Tej Dhawan, Jens Dancer, P.E., Dr. Candi Karsjens, and Jeff Reed was very engaging. Their insights into university-driven innovation, angel investing, technological advancements, and entrepreneurial support were reassuring to me. Iowa's dedication to fostering innovation is evident in its universities, government initiatives, and thriving community of entrepreneurs. From the groundbreaking research at the University of Iowa to the inspiring stories of startup founders, it's clear that Iowa is a state on the rise. The brain of a “nerd” in Toronto for 2 weeks🍁🧠 Sometimes I think I am a little too nerdy, but maybe it’s just about paying attention…too much attention 🤔? 
I don’t know if you stop to think about these things… some random examples of what I mean... a simple screen in front of the Rogers Center for me turned immediately into alignment issues (CSS margins) 😅, or for example, after reading “Toronto’s eco-conscious hair studio” in a window my brain started analyzing till realizing we are just talking about a simple hair stylist in a super marketing way of saying it 😅, like these I have a few others. Let me share some pictures I just took in my 2-week journey in Toronto. Does your mind do the same to you? 😆

Yesterday we hosted the monthly #javascript meetup with Kevin Exposito and had two great talks: The first one by Juan Ramón Rodríguez about how to build apps/agents with LangChain, great introduction to the topic! The second one was from Brayan Marcano on his experience using N8N, an open source automation tool. To be honest, that tool looks phenomenal you can probably even combine it with LangChain and do some pretty crazy things! As always thanks to our hosts Neocoast and my colleague Demian Ardus for having us and sharing some 🍕 and 🍻 with us! Thanks to everyone that joined us!

Yesterday, thanks to Aseem Prakash's invite, I had the opportunity to be his "mystery speaker" 🎤 at the "Profit from AI" meetup he organizes in Toronto. I briefly shared how Streaver is evolving and reinventing itself by leveraging AI to enhance our operations and team management through Dam. It was great to see such a passionate group discussing AI's challenges, ethics, governance, Sentient AI (or AGI) and more. Today, Guillermo Thompson Clavell and I will be hosting our first of a series of meetups named "Tech leaders exchange", with the main goal of exchanging valuable insights, experiences, and challenges current founders, leaders and entrepreneurs are dealing these days in IT. We hope to keep contributing to the IT and tech ecosystem from our side and hope more people will join us on this journey. Want to also shout out Juan Pablo Carstens, Global Startups and Ontario Centre of Innovation for all they effort and help on all they do genuinely to keep improving and fueling this ecosystem 🏆.
