Did you know? RMHC Toronto operates 7 Family Rooms in hospitals across the GTA and Sudbury. These rooms are operated at Credit Valley Hospital, Scarborough Health Network, Markham Stouffville Hospital, Health Sciences North, and SickKids Hospital in downtown Toronto. 🏥 Thanks to your support, these rooms provide a place for families to rest and recharge, just steps away from their child's care. 🌟 June recap! 🌟 🌞 PD Day Camp - Our Summer Season-themed camp was a hit! We built and painted birdhouses, tested our sandcastle engineering skills with kinetic sand, and enjoyed driving remote-controlled cars on an obstacle course. 🍦 Summer Snacks - As part of Coffee Talk, families dressed up bowls of ice cream with their favourite toppings at our Ice Cream Club and made the classic chocolatey snack - Dirt and Worms. 📸 Pop-Up Program - We hosted a photobooth/frame-making pop-up. Families decorated picture frames and had their photos taken with an "I ❤️ you to pieces" sign. 💆 Thai Massage - Since returning in April, the Thai Massage program has been fully booked, welcoming over 30 caregivers! 🎉School’s out for summer! Yesterday marked the last day of school for our amazing students at RMHC Toronto School. We celebrated their achievements with a fun-filled day outdoors, including a lively parachute game!🌞 To kick off the long weekend, Ethan from our Programs Team handed out fantastic goodie bags to families staying at the House. These bags are filled with card games, engaging activities, and delicious snacks for everyone to enjoy together.🎁 From all of us at RMHC Toronto, have a wonderful long weekend!🌟

It's a Pride celebration at RMHC Toronto! 🌈 Thanks to a grant from the Government of Canada under the Community Services Recovery Fund, we've been able to implement valuable training from The 519 on Fostering Queer and Trans-Inclusive Environments at Work and Home. But wait, there's more! Thanks to these funds, we've proudly introduced pronoun pins for our amazing staff and volunteers who would like to use them. There are a variety of pins to choose from so our team is able to feel fully represented - these are just a few samples! These pronoun pins were sourced from Rainbow Certified, an Ontario business founded by two incredible individuals whose love story inspired an inclusive apparel and accessories brand celebrating the 2SLGBTQI+ community.
