The Canada Council for the Arts is deeply saddened by the passing of renowned artist Alex Janvier, whose contributions to the art world and Indigenous culture are immeasurable. Alex Janvier’s groundbreaking work is a source of inspiration and a testament to his incredible talent and vision. We offer our condolences to his family, friends and the countless individuals touched by his art. 🤝 We are pleased to announce a new partnership between the Office of the Commissioner of Indigenous Languages & the Canadian Commission for UNESCO to work collaboratively to promote and support Indigenous languages across Canada!
