After opening in NY and Los Angeles, Goodnight Mommy directors Severin Fiala and Veronika Franz will see their latest thriller, The Lodge (review), expand into 350 new screens this coming weekend.

The Lodge follows a family who retreat to their remote winter cabin over the holidays. When the father is forced to abruptly depart for work, he leaves his children, Aidan and Mia (It‘s Jaeden Martell and Lia McHugh), in the care of his new girlfriend, Grace (Riley Keough). Isolated and alone, a blizzard traps them inside the lodge as terrifying events summon specters from Grace’s dark past.”

As previously noted, Grace is a cult survivor and is haunted by her past as the trio is stranded in the family’s vacation cabin. In this clip, Grace, in a panic, treks out into the freezing cold in hopes of finding an escape.

Below the clip, we have a few interview bits with Severin Fiala and Veronika Franz, who explain The Lodge‘s stunning locations and how they constructed dread in this haunting thriller.
