‘The Lodge’ Poster Art: Riley Keough Bleeds for Her Cult [Exclusive]

After opening in NY and Los Angeles, Goodnight Mommy directors Severin Fiala and Veronika Franz will see their latest thriller, The Lodge (review), expand into 350 new screens this coming weekend.

The Lodge follows a family who retreat to their remote winter cabin over the holidays. When the father is forced to abruptly depart for work, he leaves his children, Aidan and Mia (It‘s Jaeden Martell and Lia McHugh), in the care of his new girlfriend, Grace (Riley Keough). Isolated and alone, a blizzard traps them inside the lodge as terrifying events summon specters from Grace’s dark past.”

As previously noted, Grace is a cult survivor and is haunted by her past as the trio is stranded in the family’s vacation cabin. On this exclusive poster art, we can see Grace literally bleeding for cult.

‘Alien: Romulus’ – Three New Images Spotlight the Crew of the Renaissance Station

The second half of the year is loaded with hotly anticipated horrors including Alien: Romulus, director Fede Alvarez’s (Evil Dead, Don’t Breathe) sequel to the original horror classic that takes place between the events of Alien and Aliens. The film is set on the Renaissance research station, and Total Film has shared three brand new images of the human crew this week.

Alien: Romulus will be unleashed in theaters on August 16. 

In Romulus, “While scavenging the deep ends of a derelict space station, a group of young space colonizers come face to face with the most terrifying life form in the universe.”

Cailee Spaeny (The Craft: LegacyPacific Rim Uprisingleads the cast alongside Isabela Merced, David Jonsson, Archie Renaux, Spike Fearn and Aileen Wu.

Fede Alvarez co-wrote the script with Rodo Sayagues (Evil Dead). Ridley Scott is on board as producer for the film, the first movie in the franchise to be released by Disney.

Alien: Romulus is based on characters created by Dan O’Bannon and Ronald Shusett.
