For the third year in a row, Apple has begun its 12 Days of Christmas on iTunes. Starting today, December 26, until January 6, Apple will give away a gift from the Store each day, from songs and apps to movie clips and books. To get your gifts, all you have to do is download the official 12 Days of Christmas app, or visit the corresponding section in iTunes itself.

The promotion began with an early gift, a somewhat seductive video clip with the latest Christmas single from Rod Stewart. Today they have really done it, releasing the single titled “Holiday Gift” by Maroon Five. At the moment, there aren’t any especially mouthwatering offers, but if we look at the presents from years previous, in which Apple gave away games such as Broken Sword II and Sonic & Sega All-Star Racing for free, we can assume that the best is yet to come.

You have to stay up-to-date with the app, because each one of the presents will be available for free for only 24 hours. Once the 24 hours is up, the item will return to its normal price, and the next gift will be offered. To help you stay up-to-date, you can use the official app, which will notify you every day when the new gift is released.
